POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Chief of Human Resources, the Director of Employee Performance is responsible for the oversight and administration of a competence based performance management system for all employee groups.The incumbent of this position plans, administers, coordinates and directs all performance management activities in collaboration with professional learning to enhance employee performance.?The Director of Employee Performance will ensure employee evaluations and processes are in accordance with negotiated agreements, school system and Board of Education policies and procedures, and meets Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) requirements.

Salary Range:$137,594 - $238,603

Job Requirements
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in education, human resources, business or a closely related field required; Master's Degree preferred.Must have a minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in school leadership, human resources or a related field, with five (5) or more years at?the management level.Experience in a leadership role working with collective bargaining units preferred.? A minimum of three (3) years of experience with Charlotte Danielson's Framework for Teaching or equivalent educator evaluation performance management framework preferred.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Holds or is eligible for a valid professional license in Administrator I (historical) or Supervisor of Instruction, Assistant Principal, or Principal issued by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE); or Human Resources professional certification.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides supervision and guidance to assigned unit staff.
