Job Summary

The Director of Foundation Marketing supports the development of the strategic narrative and positioning for the next significant fundraising chapter for the Foundation. Helps set priorities and provides oversight and support for external and internal strategic content development that supports data use across the organization. Collaborates with the CHOC Marketing team and agency partners to create, implement and measure the success of comprehensive marketing, programs that will raise money, enhance the brand and elevate CHOC’s position within the regional and national healthcare community, as well as and the general public.

Pay Range

Minimum $78,978 Midpoint $118,477 Maximum $157,955

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience

  • Required: Minimum five (5) years of progressive marketing and communications experience. Work experience in nonprofit setting is desirable, as is experience in for-profit corporate marketing or with a marketing or PR firm. Minimum of two (2) years of team supervision experience, including with creative teams. Minimum one (1) year of experience supervising consultants and staff, and managing multiple projects. Minimum one (1) year experience with email marketing campaigns, segmentation strategies and analytics tracking.
  • Preferred: 7 + years’ progressive marketing and communications experience. Work experience in nonprofit setting is desirable, as is experience in for-profit corporate marketing or with a marketing or PR firm.

Education

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Marketing or Business.

  • Required: None required.

Specialized Skills

  • Required: Ability to use market research and analytics to inform strategy and report on successes of related campaigns. Knowledge and demonstrated experience with search engine optimization techniques. Able to utilize Adobe Cloud Suite and knowledge of social media management tools. Demonstrated understanding of developing and implementing innovative, creative and measurable marketing projects and ideas. Knowledge of computer applications for publishing, image handling, and/or web production. Demonstrated outstanding communication skills with proven ability to synthesize input from various sources and stakeholders, and clearly communicate assessment and next steps. Ability to collaborate effectively and welcome thoughtful debate. Strong experience with content creation, digital marketing, and measurement in multi-channel environment (inclusive of owned and paid/ external), understanding of CMS, CRM, and other technology platforms. Ability to support brand consistency across multiple touchpoints; creative problem solving and innovative attitude while multi-tasking with full attention to detail. Ability to build positive working relationships and work successfully in cross-functional teams with varying levels of understanding of analytics.
