HighRes BioSolutions is seeking a strategic, results-driven Director of Global Transportation & Logistics to lead the end-to-end movement of robotic laboratory automation systems, components, and consumables across global markets. This leader will oversee international freight, logistics networks, compliance, and distribution operations to ensure reliability, cost-efficiency, and exceptional customer experience.
The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of progressive experience in global logistics, transportation management, and supply chain leadership—preferably within high-tech equipment, life sciences, or advanced manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
Global Transportation Strategy

Develop and execute a global transportation strategy aligning with supply chain, operations, and customer needs.

Build a scalable global logistics network that supports HighRes’ growth and international expansion.

Own carrier selection, rate negotiations, and long-term logistics partnerships.
Operational Logistics Management

Oversee daily international and domestic shipments (air, ocean, LTL, FTL, small parcel).

Ensure on-time delivery, shipment accuracy, and proactive communication for inbound and outbound logistics.

Manage logistics KPIs: cost-per-shipment, transit time, carrier performance, claims, compliance.
Trade Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure compliance with customs regulations, export controls (ITAR, EAR), and documentation standards.

Maintain logistics risk-mitigation plans for delays, supply disruptions, and global trade changes.

Oversee freight audit, customs brokers, duties, HTS classification, and documentation accuracy.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Lead a logistics team and build a high-performance culture centered on execution and customer impact.

Partner closely with Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Service, and Finance.

Support global install projects and customer deployments with precise logistics coordination.
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement

Implement best practices in transportation, inventory movement, warehousing, and packaging.

Drive automation, visibility tools, and logistics technology (TMS, tracking, analytics).

Identify and execute cost-savings and efficiency initiatives without sacrificing service quality.
Qualifications

5–10 years of experience in global logistics, transportation management, or supply chain operations.

Experience in hardware, robotics, biotech equipment, or other complex capital equipment industries is preferred.

Strong knowledge of international shipping, Incoterms, customs, export regulations, and trade compliance.

Proven success negotiating with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics vendors.

Leadership experience managing logistics teams or cross-functional supply chain initiatives.

Proficiency with ERP/TMS systems
