This leader will oversee international freight, logistics networks, compliance, and distribution operations to ensure reliability, cost-efficiency, and exceptional customer experience.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of progressive experience in global logistics, transportation management, and supply chain leadership—preferably within high-tech equipment, life sciences, or advanced manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

Global Transportation Strategy

  • Develop and execute a global transportation strategy aligning with supply chain, operations, and customer needs.
  • Build a scalable global logistics network that supports HighRes’ growth and international expansion.
  • Own carrier selection, rate negotiations, and long-term logistics partnerships.

Operational Logistics Management

  • Oversee daily international and domestic shipments (air, ocean, LTL, FTL, small parcel).
  • Ensure on-time delivery, shipment accuracy, and proactive communication for inbound and outbound logistics.
  • Manage logistics KPIs: cost-per-shipment, transit time, carrier performance, claims, compliance.

Trade Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations, export controls (ITAR, EAR), and documentation standards.
  • Maintain logistics risk-mitigation plans for delays, supply disruptions, and global trade changes.
  • Oversee freight audit, customs brokers, duties, HTS classification, and documentation accuracy.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead a logistics team and build a high-performance culture centered on execution and customer impact.
  • Partner closely with Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Service, and Finance.
  • Support global install projects and customer deployments with precise logistics coordination.

Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement

  • Implement best practices in transportation, inventory movement, warehousing, and packaging.
  • Drive automation, visibility tools, and logistics technology (TMS, tracking, analytics).
  • Identify and execute cost-savings and efficiency initiatives without sacrificing service quality.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of experience in global logistics, transportation management, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience in hardware, robotics, biotech equipment, or other complex capital equipment industries is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping, Incoterms, customs, export regulations, and trade compliance.
  • Proven success negotiating with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics vendors.
  • Leadership experience managing logistics teams or cross-functional supply chain initiatives.
  • Proficiency with ERP/TMS systems
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scaling, high-innovation environment.
