Job Description

Arconex Capital (www.arconex.co) is recruiting a Director of Institutional Sales for a portfolio company of ours in the real estate technology (PropTech) space.

Their AI platform is currently being used by two NYC Real Estate investment funds with $43 billion and $29 billion AUM. Their LPs and GPs use it to identify and recover construction overbillings by general contractors on active real estate development projects ranging from $50 million to $1.3 billion in construction cost.

The platform is free to try and uses a pay-only-for-performance pricing model, creating a clear and compelling ROI for institutional clients.

The closest competing solutions are typically delivered by PwC or Deloitte as professional services, rather than as a scalable AI product.

This role is focused primarily on growing the use of the product from its current blue chip user base through connecting to Real Estate LPs, with some interaction with GPs and asset managers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead institutional sales and business development efforts targeting Real Estate LPs (pensions, endowments, foundations, insurance companies, family offices, and large RIAs)
  • Leverage existing LP and real assets relationships to generate qualified opportunities
  • Manage the full institutional sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, product demos, pilots, procurement, and contract close
  • Position the platform as a risk mitigation, cost recovery, and asset management solution for large-scale real estate development
  • Engage with LP investment, asset management, operations, and finance teams
  • Work closely with founders and leadership to refine go-to-market strategy, ICP definition, and sales messaging
  • Help build repeatable institutional sales processes and reference accounts

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in institutional sales, capital formation, investor relations, fundraising, or business development
  • Strong background in real estate private equity, real assets, infrastructure, or alternatives
  • Existing relationships with institutional LPs (or significant experience selling into them)
  • Experience selling complex products or platforms to sophisticated institutional buyers
  • Deep understanding of real estate development, construction risk, asset management, or LP oversight
  • Comfortable with long sales cycles and multi-stakeholder decision-making processes

Preferred Backgrounds (Highly Relevant)

  • Investor Relations or Capital Formation professional at a real estate PE or private equity firm
  • Placement agent or capital advisory professional (solution sales experience preferred)
  • Institutional sales at a PropTech, FinTech, or private markets technology platform
  • Investment consultant, OCIO, or allocator-facing role within real assets
