GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Director of Marketing & Integrated Communications is a strategic, hands-on leader responsible for strengthening St. Matthew’s House’s brand, advancing fundraising and event efforts, supporting volunteer engagement, and driving awareness and revenue for our social enterprises. This role also supports internal departments including HR, Facilities, and Programs.
This position blends vision, storytelling, and execution. The Director stewards SMH’s Christ-centered mission story and ensures clear, compelling, and consistent messaging across Mission, Development, Events, and Social Enterprises. This leader not only connects campaigns across channels but helps define what story we tell and how it resonates with donors, clients, volunteers, customers, and the broader community.

Mission Storytelling & Message Strategy

Define and steward SMH’s holistic mission narrative

Ensure messaging clarity around who we are, who we serve, and why it matters

Apply story-driven frameworks to unify messaging across audiences
Integrated Marketing & Brand Strategy

Design and execute multi-channel campaigns across brand, fundraising, events, and social enterprises

Strengthen brand positioning, audience segmentation, and differentiation

Maintain tone of voice and brand consistency across ministry and enterprise contexts
Fundraising, Events & Social Enterprise Marketing

Partner with Development on donor communications and fundraising campaigns

Drive event awareness, attendance, and engagement

Support marketing strategies that grow traffic, revenue, and loyalty for Social Enterprises
Digital Platforms, AI & Analytics

Oversee website strategy, SEO, social media, and digital advertising

Use CRM tools (Virtuous preferred) for segmentation, execution, and reporting

Champion modern tools, automation, analytics, and AI (Copilot and approved tools) to improve efficiency and output
Requirements:
Qualifications
Required
-
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field

5+ years of marketing experience with significant leadership responsibility

Demonstrated ability to shape message strategy and execute integrated campaigns

Strong project management, communication, and collaboration skills

Nonprofit, fundraising, or ministry communications experience

Experience marketing retail, food service, or social enterprises
Additional Requirements

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Flexibility to work occasional nights/weekends and travel to SMH locations

Valid Florida driver’s license and required auto insurance. This role requires maintaining primary auto insurance minimum liability limits of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury, $100,000 property damage or $300,000 combined single limit. Must be an approved St. Matthew's House driver.
