Lead Operations Across Four Facilities

Join Glenn Metalcraft to steward the operations of Elemet Group’s four locations. As the Director, Multi-Plant Manufacturing Operations & Lean Transformation, you’ll orchestrate Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Material Management, Quality, Production Scheduling, Safety, and Maintenance to deliver reliable performance, disciplined execution, and continuous improvement.

Your first 90 days

  • Weeks 1–3: Meet production managers at each site, review output plans, audit safety processes, and align on KPIs for quality, delivery, cost, and inventory.
  • Days 30–60: Stand up weekly staff meetings, implement standard work for performance reporting, and coach supervisors on Lean tools to stabilize flow and improve on‑time delivery.
  • Days 60–90: Lock in FY budgets, launch CI projects that reduce operating costs, and present progress updates to the President with clear recommendations and targets.

What you’ll own

  • Lead, manage, and hold teams accountable to organizational policies and procedures across all four facilities.
  • Approve and manage plans covering output targets, budget spend, staffing, labor/material efficiency, and product quality.
  • Champion safety: model safe behaviors, drive safety education, and embed best practices to sustain a safe workplace.
  • Embed Lean Principles and a Continuous Improvement system; train, mentor, and coach managers and supervisors on tools that elevate quality, on-time delivery, and cost performance.
  • Set objectives for every operations area and develop short- and long-term plans with supporting budgets and financial estimates.
  • Review performance against operating plans and standards; provide interpretation and approve course corrections.
  • Deliver weekly performance reports to the President and manage departmental budgets.
  • Lead implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology to meet business goals.
  • Recommend corporate operations policy within the Operations function.
  • Host weekly staff meetings to foster communication, assess results, and set near-term actions and targets.
  • Participate in weekly leadership meetings, quarterly reviews, and annual strategic planning.
  • Maintain robust communication within areas of responsibility, keeping employees informed of plans and progress.
  • Coach and mentor Production Managers at multiple facilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Operations Management, or an equivalent field.
  • 5–7 years of operations management experience, including forecasting and scheduling in a manufacturing setting.

  • OSHA 10 Certification.

Physical Requirements

  • Extended periods at a computer workstation.
  • Periodic standing, walking, and bending.
  • Occasional lifting of 15–20 pounds.
  • Frequent repetitive wrist/hand/finger movements (typing/writing).
  • Clear oral communication.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected base pay range for this position is between $130,000 and $180,000 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
