Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Director of Academic Tech to lead digital education initiatives, oversee academic technology integration, and drive innovation in teaching and learning. This role requires visionary leadership, strong technical expertise, and the ability to align academic technology strategies with institutional goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Academic Technology Strategy: Define and implement digital learning roadmaps across the institution.
• E-Learning Platforms: Oversee the deployment and optimization of LMS and digital tools.
• Innovation: Introduce new technologies such as AI-driven learning, VR classrooms, and adaptive learning systems.
• Faculty Collaboration: Partner with educators to integrate technology into curricula.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to educational standards and data privacy regulations.
• Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs, evaluate digital learning outcomes, and recommend improvements.
• Team Leadership: Mentor academic tech professionals and foster a culture of innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in academic technology or digital education, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of learning management systems and digital education platforms.
• Expertise in instructional design, e-learning, and digital transformation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to deliver academic technology solutions in multinational or regional environments, ideally within the GCC.
