Main Objective
Provide unbiased and objective advice in accordance with local & professional Rules, act in good faith, honesty and reasonability, and exercise due care and diligence and independent judgement in the best interests of the Company and its policyholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop theActuarial function from and build department structure with team that meet the scale and complexity of the Company'sbusiness.
- Perform all tasks and responsibilities of the appointed actuary which mandated in actuarial work rules for insurance and the implementing regulations, and all other instructions & regulations issued by SAMA and meet all the prescribed deadlines.
- Lead the actuarial workstream for the IFRS17 Transformation and provide advice on various IFRS17 matters.
- Maintain adequate communication with regulators, BOD, Executive Management and keep them engaged and updated as required.
- Participate in product development and pricing and derive required data from database.
- Advise on data quality and suggest means to enhance quality.
Position Requirements
- Accredited academic certification from a reputable institution.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a relevant post.
- Ability to lead and train a team of junior and semi senior actuaries.
- Ability to transfer knowledge and shape subordinates skills.
Education and Academic Certificate
- Bachelors degree in actuarial science or equivalent major.
- Masters degree is an advantage.
- Fellow of an Actuarial Association with relevant post-qualification experience.
