Position Summary
The Director of Athletic Communications provides strategic leadership for all aspects of athletic communications across 19 varsity intercollegiate men’s and women’s NCAA Division I sports at the University of Southern Indiana. This role develops and implements comprehensive communications, media relations and digital engagement strategy to elevate the visibility, reputation and brand of the Screaming Eagles and USI Athletics. The Director ensures consistent, compelling storytelling across platforms and supports institutional priorities through collaboration with University Marketing and Communication, and USI Athletics.
Duties/Responsibilities
Lead the strategic planning and execution of a comprehensive communications and media strategy for USI Athletics.Required Knowledge and Skills
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in sports communication or related field.Preferred Knowledge and Skills
Videography, broadcasting, and/or ESPN+ production experience.Regular Work Hours/Travel Requirements
