Job Description:

The Director of Business Intelligence & Data Analytics is responsible for building, leading, and scaling the data, reporting, and analytics functions. This role owns the strategy, design, and governance of reporting platforms used by the Field and Client Services teams, ensuring data integrity, KPI alignment, and actionable insights for clients. As the Data & Analytics Director, this role establishes best practices, educates internal team on measurement requirements, and defines how data supports planning, execution, optimization, and client value. This position is both strategic and hands‑on, with accountability for what the discipline looks like today—and how it evolves as the business grows.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a strategic partner to Client Services, Operations, and Field Leadership
  • Acts as a core member of client service team for reporting, insights, and performance discussions.
  • Establish and lead the data, reporting, and analytics discipline, including frameworks, standards, tools, and operating models.
  • Define best practices for KPI development, data capture, reporting cadence, and performance measurement.
  • Design the long‑term vision for the analytics function, including team structure across reporting operations and advanced analytics.
  • Own the design, development, and governance of reporting platforms used by field and internal teams.
  • Lead creation and management of Power BI dashboards, including client‑facing Power BI experiences and any other assigned programs
  • Define data logic, report flow, and KPI alignment to ensure reports are accurate, consistent, and decision‑ready.
  • Manage enhancements, scalability, and lifecycle of reporting tools.
  • Oversee data capture methodologies to ensure consistency and KPI alignment.
  • Establish and manage data QA, audits, documentation, and validation processes.
  • Manage raw data files, integrations, and internal reporting systems.
  • Ensure data integrity across all the program and partners.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Act as a thought leader and change agent by educating internal team on data requirements, best practices, and how analytics should inform strategy and execution.
  • Influence how teams proactively define what data is needed, why it matters, and how it should be used.
  • Build data literacy through training, documentation, and ongoing collaboration.
  • Analyze performance and behavioral data to identify trends, insights, and optimization opportunities.
  • Recommend and influence agency investment in third‑party data subscriptions (e.g., Numerator, Kantar, Placer.ai) to enhance value.
  • Integrate external data sources where applicable to support deeper insights and storytelling.
  • Support ROI measurement, impact assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with Client Services, Operations, and Field Leadership to embed a measurement‑first mindset across programs.
  • Serve as the internal Director on reporting, analytics, and measurement standards.
  • Lead special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, BI/reporting, or analytics operations with increasing scope and ownership.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI (data modeling, DAX, Power Query, workspace governance, refresh/permissions management).
  • Demonstrated experience building KPI frameworks, metric definitions, and standardized reporting cadences
  • Proven ability to translate data into clear, decision-ready insights for executive and non-technical stakeholders; strong presentation and storytelling skills
  • Strong program/project management skills: prioritization, stakeholder alignment, roadmap planning, and delivery against deadlines.
  • Experience integrating third-party/external datasets and building scalable data ingestion processes.
  • Experience in a multi-client, multi-program, or fast-scaling environment where reporting needs change frequently.
  • SQL / data modeling competence


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift objects of at least fifty (50) pounds.
  • Must have a valid government issued driver’s license.
