The Director of Communications & Digital Growth leads all content, marketing, branding, and digital expansion efforts for Florida’s Antique Mall, Florida’s largest antique mall with a rapidly growing online presence and significant future potential. The role is responsible for taking the mall’s content and communication strategy to the next level, driving foot traffic, vendor success, and digital reach.
Key Responsibilities
Content & Digital Strategy
- Develop and implement a content strategy that positions Florida’s Antique Mall as Florida’s largest antique mall and a premier digital destination for antique enthusiasts.
- Plan, create, edit, and post daily content across all social platforms, with a strong video focus that works without using a face or voice.
- Research trends, sounds, formats, and platform analytics to continuously improve reach and engagement.
- Build and refine systems that increase both the volume and quality of content, with clear pathways to scale as the brand grows.
Marketing, Branding & Communication
- Maintain and evolve a consistent brand voice across social media, email, website, and in-store channels.
- Create written content, graphics, and digital materials for campaigns, promotions, and brand storytelling.
- Prepare and distribute customer newsletters, announcements, and promotional emails.
- Draft and send vendor communications, including updates, reminders, meeting materials, and policy information, reducing day-to-day communication load on ownership while keeping leadership involved where desired.
Events & In-Store Promotions
- Plan, coordinate, and execute in-store events, seasonal promotions, and community-focused activities.
- Develop event concepts and marketing plans that drive traffic, increase vendor sales, and strengthen brand visibility.
- Oversee event logistics, including scheduling, vendor/entertainment coordination, supply purchasing, setup, and on-site execution, as well as assisting with breakdown and follow-up communication.
Growth, Innovation & Strategy
- Identify and pursue new opportunities to expand the mall’s digital reach, including collaborations, partnerships, and emerging platforms.
- Develop and refine an annual marketing plan and budget with clear goals and KPIs tied to both in-store and online growth.
- Dedicate time for research, experimentation, and skill development to stay ahead of changing trends and best practices in social and digital marketing.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Design and update in-store signage, promotional displays, and communication templates to ensure a consistent guest experience.
- Maintain organized systems and workflows for content planning, marketing tasks, events, and communication.
- Collaborate with ownership and management to ensure accurate, timely information flow to staff and vendors.
Growth Path & Future Potential
This role is intentionally designed with room to grow as Florida’s Antique Mall continues to expand both physically and digitally. As performance and responsibilities scale, this position can evolve into:
- Director of Marketing & Brand with ownership of overall strategy, budget, and multi-channel or multi-location growth.
- A senior leadership role focused on new digital revenue streams such as online sales, virtual events, memberships, or other digital initiatives.
There is no fixed ceiling on growth; as the mall’s reach and ambitions grow, the Director of Communications & Digital Growth will help shape and lead that evolution. Portfolio is recommended.
