Position Overview

This role requires a unique blend of professional presentation, clinical understanding, operational leadership, marketing skill, and hands-on physical work.

We need someone who can:

1) Represent SDS like a concierge at a luxury hotel

Polished, articulate, confident, and able to interact professionally with dentists from across the U.S. and around the world.

2) Roll up their sleeves the next day and work in jeans

Reorganizing supply rooms, lifting bins, rebuilding instrument kits, relabeling teaching materials, and restoring operational order.

This is a high-responsibility, leadership-level role for a trained hygienist or dentist who understands restorative and implant dentistry deeply and can support a world-class educational environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. CE Dental Program Operations & Execution

  • Oversee ~135 CE course days/year across all SDS offerings
  • Manage the entire MasterPath Series (13 courses, 19 days total)
  • Coordinate ADEX, Airway Mini-Residency, and Airway Nexus courses
  • Ensure all instruments, materials, supplies, and digital content are prepared
  • Handle logistics, instructor support, A/V readiness, and day-of execution
  • Maintain professional communication with attendees, faculty, and staff

2. Complete Overhaul of CE Supply & Storage Systems (First 3–6 Months)

  • Haul and reorganize storage bins, cabinets, and shelves
  • Break down and rebuild “course tackle boxes,” teaching kits, and instrument sets
  • Clean, relabel, restock, standardize, and brand all educational materials
  • Create efficient, clear, repeatable systems and checklists
  • Lead a part-time helper while personally doing hands-on physical work

3. Professional Communication & Course Sales

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with dentists nationally and internationally
  • Describe course content, benefits, and value confidently
  • Oversee course evaluations and interface with CE Committee
  • Convert inquiries into enrollments
  • Support long-term relationship building and repeat attendance
  • Respond to emails, calls, and messages with accuracy and warmth

4. Marketing & Business Development

  • Create internal emails and marketing campaigns
  • Organize digital materials through Dropbox
  • Build loyalty and retention among past attendees
  • Track enrollment trends, improve customer experience, and identify growth opportunities
  • Collaborate directly with leadership to help scale CE revenue from $1.4M → $2.2M

Requirements

  • Formal training as a Dental Hygienist (RDH) or Dentist (DDS/DMD or international equivalent)

(Active license NOT required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CE programs or dental education
  • Familiarity with ADA CERP and AGD PACE requirements
  • Appreciation for digital dentistry workflows (scanners, CAD/CAM, 3D printing, robotics)
  • Experience with international dental professionals
  • Deep clinical understanding of restorative, prosthodontic, and implant armamentaria
  • Strong organizational and systems-building skills
  • Comfort performing physical tasks (lifting bins, moving materials, reorganizing storage)
  • Ability to present professionally and communicate with clarity
  • Comfortable describing, promoting, and selling CE courses
  • Tech proficiency with:
  • Dropbox
  • Google Workspace
  • Microsoft Office
  • Email and CRM systems
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work Friday–Sunday for courses, with flexible weekdays
  • Willingness to work as a 1099 Independent Contractor (no benefits)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $94,595.00 - $114,900.00 per year
