Compudopt is a national non-profit organization that aims to provide technology access and education to under-resourced youth and their communities. Compudopt, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to bridging the digital divide, is seeking a dynamic and creative Director of Digital Marketing Strategy. The Director of Digital Marketing Strategy will create, oversee and manage the planning, execution, and optimization of the organization’s digital presence. This role focuses on website performance, search engine optimization (SEO), lead generation, user experience, and marketing technology. This position will work report to the Senior Director of Marketing & Brand Experience to implement strategies that align with brand and organizational goals social media platforms, and for keeping abreast of emerging social mediate trends to effectively communicate the organization’s mission and vision.
The Director of Digital Marketing Strategy must act with integrity, be committed to achieving organizational goals, take responsibility for mission achievement, demonstrate accountability by starting with yes, and demonstrate the ability to inspire, grow and motivate others.
Major Job Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Website Strategy, Optimization, and Performance
- Lead the organization’s website strategy, structure, and content hierarchy to ensure optimal performance and alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead continuous improvement of site performance metrics, including load speed, mobile responsiveness, accessibility, and user journey efficiency.
- Develop and implement a robust web analytics and testing strategy (e.g., A/B, multivariate testing) to drive iterative site enhancements.
- Manage web development, ensuring timely updates, functionality, and compliance with security and brand standards.
2. SEO Strategy and Execution
- Own and execute all aspects of organic search optimization.
- Conduct regular audits to improve site health, keyword performance, and overall search visibility.
- Monitor algorithm updates and adjust strategies accordingly to maintain or improve rankings.
3. Lead Generation and Conversion Optimization
- Lead and implement digital lead generation strategies across channels, including the website, email, organic search, and paid media, including social ads.
- Create and optimize landing pages, forms, and calls-to-action to increase engagement and conversion rates.
- Design and manage user flows based on data-driven insights to reduce friction and increase marketing-qualified leads (MQLs).
- Partner with CRM and sales teams to ensure lead quality and nurture pathways align with downstream goals.
4. Measurement, Analytics, and Reporting
- Implement comprehensive performance tracking to measure effectiveness and impact of various campaign variables (Google Analytics, Looker, TagManager, Ads, social ads).
- Define key performance indicators for digital marketing initiatives and lead regular reporting and analysis to measure effectiveness.
- Present actionable insights to internal stakeholders, using dashboards and reports to drive decision-making.
5. User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) Leadership
- Lead UI/UX design strategy to ensure a cohesive, intuitive, and accessible digital experience for all users, with a focus on both aesthetics and functionality.
- Translate user research and behavioral analytics into actionable UX improvements.
- Conduct usability testing to inform interface enhancements that drive engagement and improve satisfaction.
6. Marketing Technology Systems
- Build out strategic marketing automations and journeys in messaging platforms, e.g., ActiveCampaign.
- Lead the Marketing team’s customer relationship management (CRM) to gather, track, and maintain actionable stakeholder data.
- Lead, set up, and manage system integrations, e.g., web form to CRM to email platform.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Strategic Integration
- Serve as the digital subject matter expert, providing data-driven insights and tactical recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Director of Marketing & Brand Experience to ensure digital efforts support the overall marketing strategy, brand voice, and campaign objectives.
- Align digital tactics with fundraising, program, and communications goals to ensure consistency and effectiveness across channels.
- Provide insight and recommendations to the Senior Director of Marketing & Brand Experience based on marketing goals and KPIs.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- HS Diploma or GED
- 7+ years of experience in digital marketing, website strategy, advertising or marketing operations role with a demonstrated record of managing high impact digital initiatives and brand campaigns.
- Proven experience leading website strategy, digital content ecosystems, and multi-channel brand experiences.
- Experience with SEO, website optimization, analytics, and UX/UI principles.
- Ability to translate digital performance data into actionable recommendations.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Previous experience working in a non-profit organization.
- Experience with donor communication and fundraising campaigns.
- Strong portfolio of experience in brand positioning and audience engagement.
- Proficiency in graphic design and creating direction; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva (etc)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Experience in Google Ads, Analytics, Tag Manager, and Looker Studio; Meta Business Suite; LinkedIn Ads; Duda and/or similar website builder platforms
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to solve problems and work with minimum supervision.
- Proficiency in using Hootsuite or similar social media management tools.
- Demonstrated experience in creating collateral and digital content.

Salary is one component of Compudopt’s total compensation package, which also includes:
- Employer paid medical contributions up to $7015.20 annually.
