Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: $145,000 – $160,000 (based on experience)
Incentive Bonus: 17.5% – 26.25%
Sign-On Bonus: $20,000
Relocation Assistance: Up to $15,000

The Director of Emergency Services provides strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for the Emergency Department. This leader ensures high-quality, patient-centered care through oversight of departmental functions, staffing, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth initiatives.
The Director fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement while aligning department operations with the organization’s mission and long-term goals.
29 ER Beds (Expansion in progress)
~50,000 annual visits
Level IV Trauma Facility
Accredited Chest Pain Center
100 Total Staff (including 2 Managers, CNCs, EMS Techs)
Reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer
High-performing team with strong employee engagement (83%)
Strong patient experience scores (above system average)
Implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and legal standards.
Monitor quality metrics, throughput, and operational performance.
Direct nursing practice standards and emergency department policies.
Promote interdisciplinary communication and clinical competency development.
Drive initiatives to sustain and improve patient satisfaction scores.
Utilize feedback data to implement service excellence strategies.
Lead a culture focused on compassionate, patient-centered emergency care.
Lead and develop managers and frontline clinical teams.
Foster a collaborative, accountable work environment.
Support staff engagement, retention, and leadership development.
Ensure staffing models meet volume and acuity demands.
Partner with executive leadership to support ED expansion efforts.
Identify opportunities to enhance emergency service offerings and throughput efficiency.
Support growth initiatives aligned with hospital strategic goals.
Lead annual budget planning and financial oversight.
Manage labor productivity, scheduling, and premium pay utilization.
Identify cost-containment opportunities while maintaining high standards of care.
Bachelor’s Degree required
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
Master’s Degree preferred
Active Texas RN License or Compact RN License
Minimum 1+ year of applicable Emergency Department leadership experience required
3+ years of progressive Emergency Department experience preferred
Proven success with quality metrics, operational performance, and team leadership
