Role Summary
Caulfield Grammar School - Caulfield Campus Full Time, Permanent
The Director of Enrolments and Community Relations is a vital leadership role that influences the growth, reputation, and long term success of Caulfield Grammar School. This position is responsible for shaping and executing a strategic enrollment vision that ensures the school continues to welcome families who are deeply aligned with its mission, values, and educational philosophy.
More than just managing enrollment, this role is about building meaningful connections, creating a consistent, values led experience across all campuses, and fostering a strong sense of belonging within the broader school community. As a key custodian of the school's public image and enrollment performance, the Director plays a central role in strengthening community ties and enhancing the school's visibility and appeal.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Community Engagement, this full time permanent position is based at our Caulfield Campus and offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of students and families, while contributing to the strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and delivery of a long term, school wide enrollment strategy, align and embed the enrollment strategy with campus leadership teams, maintain high level stakeholder engagement, and collaborate with campus leadership teams and local communities to drive enrollment growth across all campuses.
- Team Leadership: Cultivate and foster a collaborative environment, ensuring high performing and highly engaged teams, establish clear expectations and priorities across your teams, and ensure alignment with the school's strategic direction.
- Marketing, Communication and Data: Partner with Marketing and Communications to ensure coherence across messaging between Caulfield Grammar's story and the enrollment experience; shape key messaging and event experiences to reflect the school's values, Anglican ethos, and educational priorities; analyze and interpret enrollment data to inform tactical decisions and execute strategic initiatives.
- Enrollment Operations: Lead and manage activities across the full enrollment lifecycle; establish and embed consistent enrollment practices, including onboarding and transitions across all campuses; ensure enrollment policies and processes are inclusive, transparent, and tailored to suit the needs of the campus as appropriate; manage diverse enrollment streams including boarding, domestic, scholarships, Early Learning Centre, international students, and special pathways such as Indigenous scholarship programs; uphold and communicate enrollment policies that set clear expectations for families; foster a rich, diverse, and harmonious school community; oversee student onboarding processes, ensuring consistent communication, community engagement, and event planning across campuses; lead the design and implementation of a cohesive onboarding experience for new students, streamlining processes and ensuring alignment across the whole school.
- Resource Management: Manage the team's budget and expenditure efficiently while overseeing resources, property, and equipment across the teams; achieve enrollment targets through proactive planning and stakeholder engagement; contribute to the enhancement of digital platforms, influencing digital uplift initiatives to support enrollment growth.
- Community Engagement and Relations: Design and lead the implementation of an engagement framework to build and strengthen relationships with prospective families, feeder schools, overseas agents, boarding regions, and Early Learning Centres; represent the School at domestic and international recruitment events to promote the benefits of a Caulfield Grammar education.
- Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to represent the school both domestically and internationally, including participation in overseas recruitment trips to attract prospective students.
- Demonstrated experience in education enrollment, with a deep understanding of the size, complexity, and strategic requirements involved in managing enrollment across five campuses.
- Strategic planning and marketing expertise, with the ability to develop tailored enrollment strategies that reflect the unique needs and market segments of each campus.
- Strong analytical and engagement capabilities, enabling the identification and fulfilment of enrollment needs specific to each campus through targeted outreach and promotional activities.
- Ability to navigate and simplify complex operational environments, while respecting and leveraging the differences across multiple campuses to achieve enrollment targets.
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams, including goal setting, performance management, coaching and providing constructive feedback and recognition.
- Extensive experience building strong relationships with and managing multiple stakeholders.
- Experience leading and fostering a collaborative, inclusive, trusting culture.
- Confident and articulate public speaker with strong written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and respond to sensitive issues in a timely manner.
- A current or willingness to obtain an Employment Working With Children's Check (WWCC).
