Job Details:
Mercer University is searching for a Director of Fan Experience in Athletics for the Macon, GA campus.

Responsibilities:
The Director of Fan Experience will be responsible for leading, executing and coordinating all promotion elements of athletic events, including but not limited to in-game promotions, script writing, event producing, and supervising multi-media content fan experience purposes. This position leads the comprehensive plan to maximize ticket revenue and spectator attendance. The Director of Fan Experience will also communicate with Mercer sponsorship team to ensure execution and fulfillment of partner contracts, work with campus groups and student body to drive attendance and enhance game day atmosphere. This position will work with campus and student groups to promote events and involvement.
Additionally, the Director of Fan Experience will lead and implement creative and engaging fan experience initiatives for all home athletic events across sports, enhancing in-game atmosphere and increasing fan engagement.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Digital Media, Sport Management, Marketing, Education or a related field is required, along with three years of directly relevant experience, preferably in a collegiate or professional sports setting.
Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the university's carrier.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to multi-task effectively, prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Must have outstanding work ethic and strict attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage the departmental operational budget.
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends, and available for possible travel with sport teams for selected away contests.
  • Demonstrated experience with digital content creation, video board operations, and fan engagement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of production equipment and software tools.
  • Ability to travel on university business and must be insurable by the university's carrier.
