Requirements:

- Candidate must be a certified public accountant with 10+ years’ experience.

- Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, business acumen, leadership skills, oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.

- Demonstrate high level organizational skills for prioritizing workload.

- Ability to function effectively in a team-oriented environment.

- Demonstrate ability to absorb, process, and understand new information rapidly.

Responsibilities:

- Provide financial leadership for the firm including banking, operating and capital budgeting, forecasting, long-range financial planning and cash flows.

- Oversee all accounting operations, including managing the accounting staff, implement accounting best practices to ensure accurate reporting.

- Assist outside tax accountants in preparing the firm’s tax returns.

- Prepare financial statements and periodic financial reports.

- Manage all legal and office support staff working with the firm’s Executive Committee and partners to maintain a positive work environment.

- Manage the Human Resource function including developing policies based on changing Federal and State requirements. Oversee payroll, benefits, and compensation to ensure they align with the company's budget and strategic goals.

- Manage the Information Technology function. Including short-term and long-term planning.

- Develop and maintain firm policies and procedures based on best practices.

- Ensure facilities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Mackenzie Hughes LLP considers a wide range of compensation factors including the background, education, experience, and skills of a candidate. These considerations can cause the compensation offered to vary. The base salary for this position is typically $110,000 - $130,000 annually plus a performance-based bonus. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. Mackenzie Hughes LLP offers a range of benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k), and profit sharing.
