Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Financial Operations to lead our financial management efforts and drive organizational growth. Duties
- Lead the development and execution of strategic financial plans aligned with organizational goals, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Oversee all aspects of corporate accounting, including general ledger management, account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and accounts receivable/payable processes.
- Manage treasury functions including cash flow analysis, investment management, risk assessment, and cost control initiatives to optimize liquidity and financial stability.
- Conduct risk analysis and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential financial exposures across all departments.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, interpret complex financial data for executive decision-making, and communicate insights clearly through comprehensive financial report writing.
- Oversee internal controls, audit processes—including public accounting engagements—and ensure compliance with governmental regulations and nonprofit accounting standards where applicable.
- Lead a high-performing finance team by fostering leadership development, promoting best practices in cost management, and enhancing overall financial acumen within the organization.
- Collaborate with business development teams to identify new revenue opportunities and support strategic investments that align with organizational growth objectives.
- Utilize advanced financial software tools for accurate bookkeeping, account reconciliation, cost accounting, and general ledger reconciliation to maintain precise financial records.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of IFRS, IAS, GAAP, ASC 606 standards, and governmental accounting practices.
- Proven expertise in corporate finance, cost management, budget development, forecasting, and fiscal management.
- Strong analytical skills in risk analysis, investment management, profit & loss statements, and financial statement interpretation.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency in financial software applications for bookkeeping, account reconciliation, cash flow analysis, and regulatory compliance tracking.
- Excellent communication skills for preparing detailed reports and presenting complex financial concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Deep understanding of public accounting principles along with technical accounting expertise in accrual accounting and compliance management.
