We are seeking an experienced Director of Food & Beverage to oversee all aspects of operations for a highly successful, high-volume hospitality venue in Chicago. This position is ideal for a proven General Manager or Director-level leader who wants to take ownership of a business, build strong teams, and play a strategic role in the continued growth of the operation.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines operational oversight with big-picture business strategy. You'll be responsible for leading the management team, driving profitability, enhancing the guest experience, and ensuring excellence across all food, beverage, service, and operational standards.
What You'll DoLeadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of managers and department leaders
- Foster a culture centered on hospitality, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Recruit, hire, train, and retain top hospitality talent
- Create clear pathways for leadership development and internal growth
Operations
- Oversee all front-of-house, beverage, and overall operational performance
- Ensure exceptional execution of service standards and guest experiences
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, compliance, and operational consistency
- Partner with culinary and beverage leadership to continuously enhance offerings and execution
Financial & Business Performance
- Own and manage overall financial performance, including P&L accountability
- Analyze sales trends, labor costs, inventory, and operational metrics to drive profitability
- Develop and execute strategies to increase revenue and improve operational efficiencies
- Monitor budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators
Guest Experience
- Establish and maintain a culture of hospitality that creates memorable guest experiences
- Build relationships with guests, VIPs, and community partners
- Respond to guest feedback and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of senior hospitality leadership experience as a General Manager, Director of Operations, Director of Food & Beverage, Multi-Unit Manager, or similar role
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&Ls, labor, and cost controls
- Proven success leading high-volume restaurants, nightlife venues, hospitality groups, or upscale dining concepts
- Exceptional leadership, coaching, and communication skills
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational execution
- Passion for hospitality, food, beverage, and team development
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to help grow and evolve a business

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
