Director of Human Resources

Overview

RetroAIM is seeking a Director of Human Resources in its Virginia Beach headquarters. RetroAIM is the parent entity of AIM Services, Retro Insulation, and Ladybug Concrete Specialties. These subsidiary construction businesses, with approx. 300 employees, operate in multiple branch locations in Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina. The Director of Human Resources works from the Virginia Beach office with occasional day travel to branch locations.

Position Summary

The Director of Human Resources is a senior leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all human resources strategies, policies, and programs for RetroAIM and its subsidiaries. The Director of HR reports to the CFO and serves as a strategic partner to executive leadership and subsidiary management, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

• HR and benefits strategy and planning.
• Executive leadership advisement.
• In office oversight of HR manager, administrators, and recruiters.
• Employee relations and performance management.
• Compliance and risk management.
• Compensation and benefits oversight.
• HR infrastructure and systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-10 years of HR experience, including management experience.
• Ability to day travel to branch locations.
• Experience in supporting multi-state operations preferred.
• Certifications SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or PHR preferred.
