Work Arrangement: Hybrid after 60 days

Salary: $105,000 - $108,000 annually

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for overseeing the Human Resources (HR) function for Interfaith Works, overseeing benefits and performance, and managing compliance. This position sits on the Senior Leadership Team and serves as a trusted colleague and thought partner to other Directors, working with them to create organizational policies. The Director of HR is a key driver of the organization's culture and mission. This is a working Director role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIESRESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute the HR strategy of the organization, collaborating with the CEO and other Directors as necessary to assess and respond to organizational needs.
  • Supervise the Human Resources Generalist and Human Resources Coordinator, managing their workloads and performance outcomes.
  • Own the compensation strategy for the organization, analyzing market trends to ensure equitable pay across departments and create realistic and competitive salary bands to attract and retain top talent.
  • Work with leaders to foster a culture of excellence in performance, setting achievable goals with measurable outcomes, and; coaching leaders through collaborative performance improvement strategies when necessary.
  • Oversee the administration of annual performance reviews by the HR Generalist.
  • Act as the principal investigator for all personnel investigations, coordinating with the CEO, legal counsel, and relevant leaders as necessary and making recommendations on the most appropriate outcomes.
  • Develop organizational policies that support a culture of care for staff and clients while balancing compliance and organizational need, working with the CEO and other Directors when needed.
  • Provide coaching and strategic counsel to IW's leadership team, by providing training and skill building opportunities and working through real-time leadership challenges with them.
  • Ensure IW maintains compliance with all federal and state laws regarding employment, benefits, and leave laws.
  • Oversee the administration of all benefits by the HR Generalist, ensuring benefits are relevant and competitive.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or a related field required.
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or a related field preferred.
  • At least five years of Human Resources experience with at least two years in a leadership role.
  • At least one year of experience working with leaders at the senior level or higher.
  • SHRM or PHR certification.
  • Experience managing direct reports preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
