Job Summary:
The Director of Human Resources serves as a strategic partner to the General Manager/COO and leadership team, overseeing all human resource functions for the Club. This position is responsible for talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, compensation, performance management, training and development, compliance, policy administration, and fostering a positive workplace culture that supports exceptional member service.
Essential Duties/Functions:

Participates and collaborates with executive leadership to define the organization’s long-term mission and goals; identifies ways to support this mission through talent management.

Identifies key performance indicators for the organization’s human resource and talent management functions; assesses the organization’s success and market competitiveness based on these metrics.

Research, develop, and implement competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and employee incentive programs.

Serves as the primary resource for employee concerns, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations.

Provides guidance and leadership to the human resource manager and assists with benefits questions, onboarding, and other duties as needed.

Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.

Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management.

Creates and directs a robust environment of learning through training and development.

Drafts and implements the organization’s staffing budget, and the budget for the human resource department.

Participate in professional development and networking conferences and events.

Processes bi-weekly payroll.

Administer employee recognition and engagement programs.
- Leads Personnel and Compensation committee, coordinating with Committee Chair.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required, Master’s or law degree highly preferred.

At least ten years of human resource management experience required, with strategic, talent management, and/or business development experience highly preferred.
Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
- Take walks around the club for safety and security purposes.
Licenses and Special Requirements:

SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.

Salary Expectations:
$125,000 - $145,000 annually depending on experience.
