Reliant Healthcare is hiring a Director of Human Resources for Reliant Healthcare and Carefusion Rx as a remote opportunity in Louisiana or Texas.
The Director of Human Resources provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of all human resources functions across Reliant Healthcare and Carefusion Rx's multi-state specialty infusion and pharmacy operations spanning Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and California.
The Director of HR champions a culture of accountability, clinical excellence, and employee engagement that enables Reliant Healthcare and Carefusion Rx to attract and retain top-tier talent in a competitive healthcare marketplace.
Strategic HR Leadership
- Partner with the executive team to develop and execute a human capital strategy aligned with Reliant Healthcare's and Carefusion Rx's growth objectives across Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and California.
- Provide proactive counsel on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives.
- Serve as the primary HR advisor on mergers, acquisitions, and new market entry from a people and culture standpoint.
- Report on HR metrics and KPIs to senior leadership, including turnover, time-to-fill, engagement scores, and compliance status.
Talent Acquisition & Retention
- Lead end-to-end recruitment strategy for clinical (infusion nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians) and administrative positions.
- Build relationships with nursing schools, pharmacy programs, and professional associations to develop a strong talent pipeline.
- Design and oversee competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain specialized healthcare professionals.
- Champion onboarding programs that accelerate new hire productivity and reinforce organizational culture.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Serve as a resource and advocate for employees, addressing concerns fairly, promptly, and in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
- Investigate and resolve employee relations issues including performance disputes, harassment allegations, and workplace conflicts.
- Develop and execute employee engagement initiatives to drive retention and satisfaction scores across all sites.
- Partner with managers to build coaching and accountability skills that improve team performance and reduce turnover.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure organizational compliance with federal, state, and local employment law including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, and OSHA across all operating states — with particular attention to California's expanded employment regulations (CFRA, CPRA, Cal/OSHA, and wage and hour requirements).
- Maintain HR policies and the employee handbook, ensuring alignment with current regulations and best practices.
- Oversee workers' compensation programs, leave administration, and unemployment claims management.
- Coordinate with legal counsel on employment-related matters and litigation risk mitigation.
Performance Management & Development
- Design and administer the annual performance review cycle, goal-setting frameworks, and merit increase processes.
- Identify training needs and develop learning programs that support clinical skill development, leadership growth, and compliance education.
- Build succession planning processes to ensure bench strength for key roles across the organization.
HR Operations & Systems
- Oversee HRIS administration, ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy, and system optimization.
- Manage the HR team, providing direction, development, and performance accountability.
- Administer benefits programs, open enrollment, and vendor relationships in coordination with brokers and carriers.
- Develop and manage the HR department budget.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field required.
- Master's degree (MBA, MHA, or MHRM) strongly preferred.
- SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or PHR certification preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a senior HR leadership role.
- Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred; specialty pharmacy, infusion therapy, or home health experience a significant plus.
- Demonstrated experience managing HR functions across multiple states or geographic locations.
- Proven track record of building HR infrastructure in a growth-stage or mid-size healthcare organization.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Deep working knowledge of multi-state employment law and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect HR strategy to clinical and operational outcomes.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence at all levels of the organization.
- High degree of discretion, sound judgment, and professional integrity when handling sensitive and confidential matters.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) required.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
