DIRECTOR of HVAC SERVICE OPERATIONS

With decades of experience serving the Las Vegas community, we are a leading HVAC mechanical services company providing preventive maintenance, repair, retrofit, controls, and energy-efficient solutions for commercial and residential customers. We are seeking a strong leader to grow and improve an established service department. Ownership is actively supportive, systems are in place, and this role is designed for long-term operational leadership and growth.

Job Title: Director of Service Operations

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management: Full operational leadership of an established HVAC service department, including recruiting, training, employee development, and performance oversight.
  • Operational Efficiency: Develop and implement strategies to support and improve service efficiency and productivity.
  • Customer Relations: Handle escalated customer complaints and ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure our safety culture is encouraged and enforced to maintain our goal of Zero Accidents.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory and ensure necessary parts and equipment are available.
  • Budgeting and Financial Oversight: Budget and manage labor & indirect costs. Authority to sign off on estimates and proposals.
  • Service Strategies: Develop and implement service strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and drive business growth.
  • Mentorship: Lead and develop service personnel through coaching, accountability, and ongoing support while maintaining a strong employee retention rate.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor service performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to improve service efficiency and quality.
  • Client Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with key clients to ensure their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Department Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of service delivery.
  • Industry Trends: Stay current on industry trends and best practices to improve service offerings continually.

Job Specifications (including education requirements, minimal experience, computer skills required, etc.)

  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC commercial and residential service management
  • A degree in a related field or equivalent experience in lieu of experience
  • Knowledge of commercial and residential HVAC systems and equipment
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and customer satisfaction
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
