Director of Information Technology - Not a remote position

Description/Job Mission Statement

We are looking for an experienced IT Director to oversee all IT (Information Technology) functions in our company. You will be in charge of a team of IT managers, IT personnel and manage the company’s technology operations and the implementation of new IT systems and policies. We are searching for an IT Director that is very knowledgeable in IT and computer systems. They have a solid technical background while able to manage and motivate people. The ideal candidate will be experienced in creating and implementing IT policies and systems that will meet objectives. Must be extremely detail oriented and organized. The ability to prioritize, complete, plan and complete projects and administrative functions. The goal is to ensure IT systems and people are effective and functioning within the limits of budget, time and specifications of the company.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all technology operations (e.g. network security) and evaluate them according to established goals
• Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management
• Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs
• Purchase efficient and cost effective technological equipment and software
• Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency
• Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to upper management
• Coordinate IT managers and supervise data analysts, technicians and other professionals to provide guidance
• Control budget and report on expenditure
• Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts
• Manage the IT team, to include approving timesheets and time off.
• Manage the admin portion of the IT department. (Timesheets, time off requests, expense reports, and manage any related IT duties.)

Requirements

• Proven experience as IT director or similar role
• Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
• Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, databases, etc.
• Experience in controlling information technology budget
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Outstanding communication abilities
• BSc/BA in computer science or relevant experience of 10+ years in IT, engineering or relevant field will be a plus

MISCELLANEOUS REQUIREMENTS

• Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri Motor Vehicle Operator’s license.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and pre-employment drug test.
• Must possess no felony convictions and have no serious misdemeanor convictions within the past 5 years.
• Must possess a high degree of integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must possess strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal communication and relational skills, good organizational and project management skills, sound judgment, and creativity.

Occasional assignments may involve travel on some projects.

Note: Salary is dependent upon experience.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
