Director of Interior Design

Overview

FS Builder Resources is seeking a Director of Interior Design to lead and deliver a unified, national interior design vision across all markets. This senior leadership role is accountable for setting strategy, overseeing execution, and developing a high-performing interior design organization supporting new construction, renovations, model homes, and design galleries nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and execute a national interior design vision aligned with corporate branding and business objectives, balancing national standards with regional market needs.
• Lead all interior design initiatives for single-family and multi-family developments, including new builds, model homes, sales offices, and renovations.
• Oversee company-owned design galleries and ensure field execution complies with approved plans, specifications, and brand standards.
• Manage design-related vendor partnerships, contracts, and budgets to ensure quality, cost control, scalability, and supply chain reliability.
• Build, lead, and develop a multi-site interior design team through effective hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Establish and maintain design policies, processes, standards, and approval workflows while ensuring building code and safety compliance.
• Frequent travel to company owned design galleries, trade shows, and project locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in large-scale residential development, including national builder or model home programs.
• Proven leadership experience managing multi-location teams and enterprise-wide design initiatives.

Reporting Relationship

• Reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
