Investor Relations Director (GCC Fundraising)

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Head of Investor Relations to lead all fundraising activities and manage relationships with current and prospective investors for a diversified investment platform, based in Dubai. This is a senior role with strategic impact – you’ll shape the capital-raising roadmap, tell the story of our investment platform, and help ensure alignment between our investment strategy and investor expectations. You will report into the executive leadership and work closely with the Portfolio Manager, finance, compliance/legal, and senior management.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a fundraising strategy targeting investors in the GCC (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman), including institutional investors, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, HNWI networks.

Originate, cultivate, negotiate, and close investment commitments; manage the full lifecycle of fundraising from prospect identification to onboarding.

Maintain and deepen relationships with existing investors. Provide regular updates, attend to inquiries, and build trust through transparency and timely information.

Prepare all investor-facing materials: pitch decks, due diligence questionnaires (DDQs), private placement documents, performance reports, investor letters, and capital-call notices.

Represent the firm at GCC investor conferences, roadshows, investor meetings, and other networking forums to raise visibility and credibility.

Monitor investor sentiment, capital flow trends, fee and term norms, regulatory changes, competitive landscape in the GCC, and feed insights back into strategy.

Collaborate closely with the investment, finance, legal/compliance, and operations teams to ensure fundraising materials, processes, and investor onboarding are compliant, accurate, and efficient.

Design and manage investor communications calendar: regular reporting, investor days, updates, quarterly/annual dashboards.

Build and manage a small team (IR associates or specialists as needed) and implement efficient CRM / pipeline tracking tools for fundraising.
Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field. Advanced degree (MBA, CFA, CAIA or equivalent) preferred.

At least 8-12 years of experience in investor relations, capital raising, or fundraising roles, particularly in asset management, alternative investments, private equity, hedge funds, or similar.

Proven track record of raising meaningful capital from institutional investors (sovereign wealth funds, family offices, institutional investors), GCC-based Investors is a plus.

Deep network in the GCC investment community. Strong understanding of investor behaviour, regulatory environment, and market norms in the region.

Excellent communication, presentation, storytelling skills. Ability to articulate complex investment strategies and performance data clearly and convincingly.

Strong financial acumen: ability to review and interpret portfolio performance, metrics, fund structures, and returns.

High attention to detail, integrity, professionalism; ability to handle confidential information sensitively.

Ability to travel within the GCC frequently for investor meetings, roadshows, conferences.
