Director of Learning, 2 Hour Learning Remote - $200,000/year USD

2 Hour Learning is a technology-driven education organization that uses AI to personalize learning for students. The Director of Learning will design a transformative learning ecosystem for a teacher free school model that spans multiple campuses.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design and iterate an AI powered learning ecosystem that demonstrably surpasses conventional education, validated by concrete performance metrics.
• Interact directly with students via virtual channels to understand their learning journeys, obstacles, and victories, translating insights into ongoing ecosystem enhancements.
• Extract actionable intelligence from learning platform data and engineer high impact academic interventions that integrate AI/ML, learning science, and motivational best practices.
• Foster a culture of ambitious experimentation and data informed decision making, using evidence to generate breakthrough improvements in student growth.
• Collaborate with platform engineering, data science, and design teams to convert academic insights and student input into intuitive product improvements.

What You Won't Be Doing

• Wrapping traditional schooling in an AI veneer; the role is not about transferring classroom teaching to digital screens.
• Conducting data analysis in a vacuum; regular interaction with K 12 students is expected.
• Awaiting broad agreement before challenging norms; you will advance a courageous vision and mobilize others through data driven outcomes.
• Adhering to established methods; you will have the freedom to explore novel strategies in motivation, assessment, and instruction.
• Viewing AI as a threat; you will embrace AI as a powerful instrument to transform learning.

Director of Learning Key Responsibilities

Lead innovation in AI powered, teacher free education to produce outstanding student results across multiple campuses, combining analytical rigor with consistent student interaction to refine the learning ecosystem as measured by AP exam scores and MAP assessment growth.

Basic Requirements

• Master's degree or higher in Educational Science, Learning Science, Psychology, Psychometrics, Instructional Design, or a related field.
• Leadership experience in education or EdTech.
• Experience applying AI technologies in an educational or professional context.
• Experience designing and implementing AI systems for tasks such as content generation, data analysis, or adaptive learning.
• Strong understanding of learning science principles and data driven educational approaches.
• Proven ability to communicate complex educational and technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Experience leading cross functional teams and managing complex projects.

Working with Us

This is a full time (40 hours per week) position that is immediately available. The compensation level is $100 USD per hour, equating to $200,000 USD per year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. Compensation is paid weekly. The role requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
