The Director of Learning Design & LMS Administration at Flow Automotive leads the design, implementation, and stewardship of our enterprise learning ecosystem — ensuring that every learning experience reflects The Flow Way of leadership and culture. They are more than a systems leader; they are a culture builder and leadership architect. This role integrates technology, design, and human development to build learning systems that cultivate ethical, high-performing, and service-oriented leaders aligned with Flow’s mission: to serve the total automotive needs of our customers. The Director oversees all aspects of our Learning Management System (LMS), instructional design strategy, and learning experience innovation, embedding Flow’s foundational commitments — Covenant, Community, and Common Good — into every layer of employee development.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership in Learning & Culture

  • Develop and execute a company-wide learning strategy integrating Flow’s approach to customer experience, care for employees, and process execution.
  • Lead the evolution of Flow’s learning architecture to align with business strategy, cultural values, and performance excellence.
  • Partner with leaders in Operations and Management Services to ensure learning initiatives reinforce Flow’s culture of accountability, integrity, and trust.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and Senior Leadership to scale the Flow DNA curriculum, embedding Flow’s philosophy of Leadership throughout the company.
  • Curate and sustain learning content that deepens understanding of Flow’s Covenant with Customers, Community with One Another, and Commitment to the Common Good.

Learning Management System (LMS) Oversight

  • Oversee the administration, optimization, and integrity of Flow’s LMS, ensuring accessibility, scalability, and a seamless learner experience.
  • Manage course architecture, user roles, data analytics, and compliance workflows.
  • Collaborate with the Analyst Team, IT and vendor partners to maintain system performance, data accuracy, and system integrations (HRIS, performance, and analytics systems).
  • Ensure the LMS becomes a central hub for tracking leadership development pathways and career growth aligned with Flow’s developmental model (Student - Player - High Performer - All-Star).
  • Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and contracts for learning platforms, tools, and partnerships.

Learning Design & Experience Innovation

  • Lead ad-hoc teams and content developers to create engaging digital and blended learning experiences.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure learning priorities align with strategic goals and performance metrics.
  • Design curricula that reflect Flow’s Culture and DNA (Leadership, SERVE, etc).
  • Apply modern instructional design methods (ADDIE, SAM, Agile Learning) and integrate behavioral science, microlearning, and adaptive learning technology, as appropriate.
  • Build measurement frameworks using LMS data and learning analytics to demonstrate growth in leadership competencies and cultural alignment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Human Resources, or Organizational Development (Master’s preferred).
  • 8+ years in learning design, LMS administration, or leadership development with at least 3 years in a strategic leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise-level LMS systems (e.g. TalentLMS, Workday Learning, Cornerstone, Docebo, or similar).
  • Experience translating company culture and values into learning frameworks and measurable growth outcomes.

Core Competencies

  • Deep understanding of instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Proficiency in LMS configuration, analytics, and reporting.
  • Strong command of learning technologies and authoring tools (Articulate 360, Captivate, Rise, etc.).
  • Data-driven mindset; ability to assess learning impact and communicate ROI.
  • Exceptional collaboration, communication, and influencing skills across organizational levels.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and excellence — reaching for perfection while providing second chances.
