The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on, strategicÂ
Director of Maintenance
 to lead our fleet maintenance operations and keep safety at the forefront of everything we do. This role is critical to our leadership team—responsible for ensuring our equipment, our people, and the public are protected through best-in-class maintenance practices.
You’ll oversee shop operations, lead and develop technicians, and drive a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do:
Lead & Inspire

Develop, coach, and support technicians, and support staff

Foster a high-performance, safety-first environment
Drive Safety & Compliance

Ensure full compliance withÂ
DOT, OSHA, and state regulations

Maintain inspection schedules and prevent out-of-service events

Promote safe, clean, and organized shop operations
Own Fleet Performance

Oversee all maintenance and repair activities across the fleet

Prioritize repairs based on DVIRs and operational needs
-
Ensure preventive maintenance programs are executed flawlessly
-
Minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability
Manage Operations & Budget

Track and manage maintenance expenses and shop budget

Approve purchases and oversee parts inventory

Partner with Operations to ensure seamless communication and equipment readiness
Stay Ahead of the Curve

Implement and support new technologies (TPMS, Predictive Maintenance, etc).Â

Monitor trends, identify improvements, and drive process efficiency

Ensure accurate maintenance data and reporting

What You Bring
-
5+ years in truck maintenance/repair (leadership experience preferred)
-
Strong knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and fleet compliance standards
-
Experience with maintenance systems/software

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset

Strong communication and leadership skills
Day-to-Day Snapshot

Review and prioritize DVIR repairs
-
Monitor out-of-service equipment and provide status updates
-
Coordinate with Operations on equipment availability
-
Ensure accurate documentation and system updates
-
Support technicians and troubleshoot complex issues
Physical Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the day

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Clear communication and situational awareness in a shop environment
