Summary of Position: The Director of Marketing plays a key leadership role in shaping how La Vida Hospitality shows up across every brand, platform, and guest touchpoint. As one of two Marketing Directors, this position co-leads companywide marketing systems across all three lifestyle brands (Crooked Hammock Brewery, Taco Reho, and Big Chill), drives unified brand messaging, and ensures clear, compelling communication both internally and externally. This role is responsible for overseeing the development of annual plans, guiding creative execution, managing budgets, and ensuring every message, campaign, and guest interaction reflects the heart and spirit of the La Vida Hospitality brands. The Director is also responsible for building brand relevance through deep local market activation, community partnerships, and authentic on-the-ground presence, all while aligning with overarching brand standards and performance marketing goals. This leader serves as the connective tissue between the brand and the communities we operate in—bringing communication expertise, strategic vision, and the ability to turn ideas into campaigns that inspire guests, unify teams, and grow brand awareness. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serve as a leader of the LVH Marketing Department and drive development and execution of The La Vida Way for branding & marketing.
- Build, refine, and implement LVH-wide marketing systems and processes that improve efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing and Leadership Teams to ensure aligned decision-making, cohesive branding, and efficient departmental operations.
- Partner on developing a comprehensive messaging strategy that strengthens LVH’s digital, traditional, and PR communication.
- Assist with staffing, onboarding, performance management, training, and ongoing development within the marketing department.
- Ensure timely and high-quality content creation, along with post-publish analytics to drive continuous improvement.
- Confirm that all team members have the tools, resources, and knowledge to perform at a high level.
- Uphold brand integrity and adherence to brand standards.
- Manage marketing budgets and ensure responsible allocation of all resources.
- Lead the development of annual marketing strategies, campaigns, calendars, and budgets.
- Develop, manage, and mentor members of the marketing team including Marketing Coordinators & Managers, Social Media Managers, and Digital Marketing Managers, Creative Team, and Consultants.
- Translate annual business strategies into actionable marketing plans that guide weekly and seasonal execution.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive marketing calendar including messaging vehicles, creative needs, and cost structures.
- Develop the annual advertising campaign and oversee weekly creative development aligned with the campaign and calendar.
- Manage and coach the team to effectively execute all planned marketing activities.
- Ensure creative messaging enlivens the brand while staying aligned with brand standards.
- Maintain weekly oversight over marketing visuals, tone, and consistency.
- Continually look for ways to expand brand awareness, evolving strategies and weekly execution to meet those opportunities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to ensure alignment and maximize marketing impact.
- Oversee analytics to measure marketing effectiveness and guide future marketing decisions.
- Serve as a passionate and knowledgeable ambassador of all LVH lifestyle brands.
Qualifications:
- College degree in Marketing preferred;
- 5+ years of experience in marketing leadership role, director or higher level preferred;
- A combination of practical experience and education will be considered as an alternative;
- Working knowledge & experience in marketing methodologies: traditional advertising, digital, etc.;
- Proficiency in computer usage, record keeping, and filing;
- Professional communication skills both verbal and written;
- Strong planning and organizational skills. A self starting work ethic and the ability to multitask, prioritize and adapt to changing situations;
- Microsoft Office skills and proficient in Google G Suite products;
- Frequently walk and occasionally bend over, twist, kneel, climb, stoop and crouch;
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally;
- Ability to work in a standing or sitting position for long periods of time;
- Ability to work flexible hours is required, including off shifts;
- Requires the relentless pursuit of quality that comes with a deep love of our brand and the products that we produce, in order to ensure their continued quality into the future.
- Requires a vast majority of work to be done in the office of La Vida Hospitality or our brands. Occasional work-at-home is welcomed.
- Requires travel to our locations, typically on a monthly basis.
