Summary: Logan University seeks a data-driven, innovative, and strategically minded Director of Marketing - Enrollment Marketing to lead all marketing efforts directly tied to undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral student recruitment. Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment Management, this role is responsible for building and executing integrated marketing strategies—digital, traditional, and conversion-oriented—that increase inquiries, applications, visits, and enrollments.

The Director will serve as a key member of the enrollment leadership team and will work in tight alignment with the Director of Admissions (to support recruitment and funnel goals), Director of Communications (to ensure brand consistency and centralized messaging), Program Directors & Deans (to understand program differentiators and develop targeted campaigns)

A core expectation of this role is advanced competency in Slate CRM, leveraging its capabilities for audience segmentation, personalization, analytics, and campaign optimization.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

Strategic Enrollment Marketing Leadership:

  • Build and execute multi-channel marketing plans that directly support enrollment goals across all academic levels and modalities.
  • Align campaigns to admissions cycles, recruitment travel, visit programming, and yield strategies.
  • Use funnel analytics, A/B testing, market research, and competitive intelligence to inform strategy and optimize performance.

Digital Marketing & Slate CRM Campaigns:

  • Lead digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, SEM, paid social, retargeting, display, geofencing, and email nurture flows.

Own Slate marketing strategy, including:

  • Audience segmentation and dynamic content personalization
  • Workflow-driven campaign automation
  • Deliverability assessments and email performance optimization
  • Custom dashboards and reporting to measure engagement and conversion
  • Work closely with Admissions and IT to ensure accurate data flows, query development, and list management that support personalized outreach.

Traditional & Print Marketing (with Enrollment Focus):

  • Oversee print campaigns, direct mail, variable print messaging, and event-driven communications that support inquiry generation, admits, and yield.
  • Ensure traditional media placements (radio, OOH, etc.) align with program demand and market opportunity.

Creative, Content Strategy & Messaging:

  • Lead development of enrollment-focused content: program sheets, digital brochures, videos, visit materials, landing pages, and inquiry conversion tools.
  • Partner with Communications on messaging hierarchy, tone, and editorial alignment, ensuring enrollment needs remain central.
  • Oversee website content strategy for all recruitment pages to support SEO, program-level storytelling, and user-experience improvements that drive conversions.

Analytics, Market Intelligence & Performance Reporting:

  • Use Slate dashboards, Google Analytics, and paid media analytics to track engagement, program interest, and behavioral trends.
  • Evaluate ROI for all campaigns and vendors.
  • Conduct market research to identify new audiences, program opportunities, geographic expansion potential, and competitive positioning.

Cross-Campus Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Collaborate with Admissions leadership to calibrate messaging and ensure marketing supports the full student lifecycle—prospect through deposit.
  • Work closely with Deans and Program Directors to understand program differentiators and build targeted communication and visual assets.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing enrollment marketing team, fostering creativity, accountability, and results-driven thinking.

Budget & Vendor Management:

  • Build and manage the enrollment marketing budget with a focus on ROI and efficiency.
  • Lead RFPs, contract negotiations, and performance oversight for marketing agencies, digital partners, photographers/videographers, and print vendors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in marketing, ideally within enrollment management or higher education.
  • A proven record of driving inquiry, application, and enrollment growth through integrated marketing strategies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Slate CRM—including campaign builds, data structures, queries, forms, portals, dynamic content, reporting, and automation.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing platforms, analytics tools, SEO/SEM strategy, and paid media performance.
  • Experience managing creative development, brand storytelling, and content strategy.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project-management skills.
  • Proficiency with AI tools for content generation, segmentation, and performance optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments and lead a nimble team.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft products, such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher, and the ability to learn new programs as needed.
