About the Role
Conscious Capitalism, Inc. (CCI) is seeking a full-time contract Director of Marketing to lead brand, demand, and growth marketing across membership, events, chapters, partnerships, and thought leadership. This is a hands-on senior role for a strategist-operator who can set direction, execute quickly, make hard prioritization decisions, and use data to focus efforts where impact and revenue are highest.


Key Responsibilities


  • Build and own CCI’s integrated marketing strategy, annual plan, goals, and channel mix
  • Establish clear positioning and messaging across programs, events, chapters, and initiatives
  • Lead multi-channel campaigns (email, social, paid, partnerships, PR) to drive growth and engagement
  • Own editorial strategy and oversee content production, including newsletters and thought leadership
  • Lead public relations strategy, media outreach, and journalist relationships
  • Partner closely with the CEO and leadership team to shape and amplify thought leadership
  • Steward and protect CCI’s brand standards across all touchpoints, including chapters and partners
  • Establish marketing OKRs, dashboards, and performance insights to guide decision-making
  • Manage contractors and vendors; collaborate cross-functionally with Programs, Development, and Operations
  • Support revenue efforts through sponsorship promotion and sales enablement assets


Qualifications


  • 8–12+ years of marketing experience with direct ownership of strategy and execution
  • Proven experience building or reshaping a marketing function in a growing or resource-constrained organization
  • Strong expertise in positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize using data and impact—not vanity metrics
  • Excellent writer, editor, and communicator with high standards for clarity and quality
  • Experience managing contractors, agencies, or small teams
  • Builder mindset with comfort operating in ambiguity and making independent decisions


Helpful, Not Required


  • Experience in membership-based organizations, executive communities, or mission-driven environments
  • Exposure to CEO-level audiences, boards, or senior leadership teams
  • Experience translating values or principles into practical, real-world storytelling

Salary

$100 - $100 per hour
