Position Summary

The Director of Marketing owns and leads the company’s full marketing strategy, planning, execution,

and performance measurement. This role connects marketing activity directly to revenue outcomes and

ensures disciplined use of budget, measurable ROI, and consistent brand positioning across all

channels. The Director of Marketing manages campaigns, vendors, content direction, attribution

systems, and marketing technology while providing executive-level reporting and accountability.


Primary Mission

  • Build and lead company-wide marketing strategy
  • Drive qualified lead growth and brand visibility
  • Ensure marketing ROI is measurable and reported
  • Control brand messaging and campaign direction
  • Manage marketing budget with performance discipline
  • Create scalable marketing systems and processes


Strategy & Planning Responsibilities

  • Develop annual and quarterly marketing strategy
  • Align marketing goals with revenue targets
  • Build campaign calendars and channel plans
  • Define target audiences and offers
  • Recommend budget allocation by channel
  • Present plans and results to leadership


Campaign & Channel Leadership

  • Lead multi-channel campaigns across digital and offline media
  • Oversee search, social, retargeting, and local advertising
  • Plan radio, TV, outdoor, and event campaigns when appropriate
  • Drive seasonal and promotional campaigns
  • Turn showroom locations into marketing assets
  • Coordinate vehicle wraps and field branding


Budget & ROI Management

  • Own and manage the marketing budget
  • Track cost per lead and cost per acquisition
  • Implement ROI and attribution tracking
  • Reallocate spend based on performance
  • Stop underperforming campaigns quickly
  • Scale high-performing campaigns responsibly


Vendor & Partner Management

  • Manage agencies and marketing vendors
  • Direct creative and media partners
  • Evaluate vendor performance
  • Negotiate scopes and contracts
  • Control strategic direction vs vendor influence
  • Manage vendor co-op programs


Brand & Content Leadership

  • Own brand voice and positioning
  • Direct campaign messaging
  • Guide content creators and partners
  • Approve major creative assets
  • Ensure cross-channel brand consistency
  • Support sales and showroom materials


Data, Systems & Reporting

  • Implement CRM lead source tracking
  • Ensure marketing tech integrates with NetSuite
  • Maintain campaign attribution accuracy
  • Build executive dashboards
  • Deliver monthly ROI reports
  • Maintain KPI scorecards


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with sales on lead quality
  • Align campaigns with sales capacity
  • Coordinate with operations on demand
  • Collaborate with IT on integrations
  • Support leadership reporting needs
