The Gow School, a nationally recognized leader in educating students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences, seeks a dynamic Director of Marketing and Communications to lead and elevate the school’s storytelling, brand, and strategic communications efforts.

Founded in 1926, Gow is a college-preparatory boarding and day school serving students in grades 5–12 and postgraduate learners. Through small classes, expert faculty, and a deeply supportive community, Gow helps students build confidence, independence, and lifelong success.

Reporting to the Head of School and serving on the senior leadership team, the Director will oversee all aspects of marketing and communications, including:

  • Brand strategy and storytelling
  • Enrollment marketing and outreach
  • Website, social media, and digital campaigns
  • Publications and community communications
  • Media relations and thought leadership

The ideal candidate is a strong writer, creative strategist, and collaborative leader with experience in marketing and communications, preferably in education or another mission-driven organization. Expertise in digital marketing, content strategy, and project management is essential.

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus
  • Significant marketing/communications experience, especially in an educational or mission-driven organization
  • Sales or enrollment-related experience in a nonprofit or corporate setting a plus
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Experience with digital marketing and social media
  • Knowledge of Canva, Photoshop, and/or InDesign preferred
  • Commitment to serving students who learn differently
