What is the Role?
We are seeking to hire a highly resourceful and innovative Marketing and Communications Director who will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing plans to promote the company’s products and services, managing a team of professionals, overseeing brand messaging and positioning, and analyzing market trends to develop effective marketing campaigns. The role requires developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and industry experts.
The Marketing and Communications Director will oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive strategies aimed at enhancing brand visibility, increasing stakeholder engagement, and supporting organizational objectives. Key responsibilities include managing branding initiatives, public relations efforts, digital content creation, and marketing campaigns, while also overseeing budget allocation and team leadership. The Director ensures consistent messaging across all channels, including social media and media relations, to deliver clear and impactful communications.

Identify and target key customer segments, developing strategies to enhance brand awareness and drive customer acquisition.

Oversee the creation of marketing materials, including advertising campaigns, promotional initiatives, and public relations efforts.

Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals by establishing clear goals and providing guidance and support to facilitate their success.

Monitor and analyze market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and potential challenges.

Collaborate with other departments such as sales, product development, and customer service to ensure a unified approach to marketing and customer engagement.

Evaluate and report on marketing performance, utilizing data to inform and optimize future strategies and initiatives.

Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in marketing technology and strategies and proactively identify new opportunities for growth and innovation.
What Qualifications and Requirements are Good to have to be considered for the role?

Bachelor’s degree (or master’s degree) in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA is advantageous

10+ years of progressive leadership experience, preferably within the FinTech and Banking industries. Demonstrated experience in a senior leadership role such as Marketing Director, Communications Director, or equivalent position.

Proven success in developing and implementing marketing and branding strategies that enhance growth, profitability, and market share.

Proficiency with content management systems (CMS), Google Analytics, customer relationship management (CRM) software, and various social media platforms.

Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, budget management, organizational integration, and staff development.

Extensive knowledge of the industry, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.

Strong business and financial acumen, with a solid understanding of marketing metrics and analytics.

Experience in managing complex organizations and leading change initiatives. Robust project management capabilities, with the capacity to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Ability to interpret complex marketing data into actionable insights for executive leadership and the board.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, including advanced copywriting, editing skills and the ability to adapt to relevant audience, including C-suite level executives, as well as regulators. Fluency in Arabic is a must.
