The Director of Marketing - B+N position provides strategic, creative, and operational leadership for B+N’s Marketing function. This role is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing plans that drive demand, elevate the brand, support product launches, and provide sales enablement. The Director leads a team and partners closely with Creative, Product Management, Sales, and Leadership to ensure marketing efforts directly support revenue, brand visibility, and company growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Marketing Leadership
- Lead the development and execution of the annual marketing plan aligned to company revenue and growth targets.
- Define and manage comprehensive marketing KPIs, including digital performance, campaign ROI, engagement, and pipeline contribution.
- Partner with Product Management to create structured go-to-market strategies, messaging frameworks, and sales support materials.
- Leverage customer insights, digital analytics, and competitive intelligence to inform strategy.
Campaign, Advertising & Demand Generation
- Own end-to-end digital and print advertising campaigns across Google, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and trade publications.
- Optimize targeting, creative, messaging, and spend using performance metrics and experimentation.
- Develop integrated cross-channel campaigns aligned with product launches and category priorities.
- Build dashboards and reporting to measure performance, pipeline impact, conversion, and ROI.
Creative Direction & Content Development
- Provide creative and brand oversight, ensuring elevated design and visual consistency.
- Partner with CMCO and Momentum Brand Team on co-branded creative strategy across digital, print, presentations, catalogs, and sales collateral.
- Lead storytelling development, including case studies, CEUs, editorial content, and thought leadership.
Website, Digital Experience & SEO
- Oversee website strategy, content, structure, UX, and functionality.
- Lead SEO strategy and continuous optimization based on analytics.
- Ensure digital programs effectively support lead generation, product discovery, and brand consistency.
Events, Tradeshows, Sponsorships & PR
- Oversee tradeshow and event messaging, content, and pre/post-marketing support.
- Strengthen sponsorship, editorial, and PR efforts to build brand visibility and reputation.
Brand Stewardship & Vendor Management
- Maintain and enforce refined brand standards, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
- Manage external partners including creative agencies, printers, digital vendors, and promotional distributers.
- Strengthen cross-team adherence to brand guidelines through tools, templates, and processes.
Cross-Department Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales to identify needs and deliver structured sales enablement tools aligned to buyer journeys.
- Partner with Product on messaging, positioning, launch timing, and commercialization.
- Lead recurring cross-functional alignment meetings to synchronize marketing, sales, and product priorities.
Budget, Reporting & Team Leadership
- Own the marketing budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
- Develop robust reporting for leadership, including dashboards and campaign analytics.
- Lead and coach the marketing team, fostering creativity, accountability, and performance.
REQUIREMENTS
- 8+ years of progressive marketing experience with strong strategic and creative leadership.
- 3+ years in a marketing management or director-level role.
- Experience driving digital, multi-channel campaigns with measurable results.
- Proficiency with SEO tools, analytics platforms, marketing automation, and paid media channels.
- Strong communication, storytelling, and presentation abilities.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and cross-functional leadership.
- Hybrid position living in the area of either Burlingame, CA or Chicago, IL
- Starting annual base pay is $140,000.00
