We are seeking a dynamic and growth-oriented Director of Marketing & Business Development to lead strategic expansion efforts within our AAC (Augmentative & Alternative Communication) and PWC (Power Wheelchair) division.
This role is responsible for driving referral growth, market development, and brand positioning across clinical, institutional, and community-based channels. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of complex rehab technology, speech/communication devices, or DME, combined with a proven ability to build and scale referral networks.
Key Responsibilities
Market Growth & Strategy

Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy for AAC and PWC services across target markets

Identify and prioritize high-value referral sources, including:

Speech-language pathologists (SLPs)
-
Physical and occupational therapists (PT/OT)
-
Rehab hospitals and health systems
-
Neurology, pediatric, and specialty clinics
-
Analyze market trends, payer dynamics, and competitive positioning to inform strategy
Referral Development & Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with clinical and institutional referral partners

Serve as a key external representative for the division

Create and implement referral engagement plans, including education, outreach, and follow-up strategies

Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless intake and patient experience
Marketing & Brand Positioning

Lead development of targeted marketing initiatives specific to AAC and PWC populations

Qualifications
Required

5+ years in business development, marketing, or sales leadership within:

DME / HME
-
Complex rehab (CRT)
-
AAC / assistive technology
-
Healthcare services
-
Proven track record of building and growing referral networks

Strong understanding of clinical workflows and referral pathways

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Preferred

Experience with AAC devices and/or power mobility (CRT/PWC)

Familiarity with insurance / reimbursement landscape (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial)
