Overview

BatonBaton is a next-generation membership club for teens - part cultural space, part creator studio, part self-regulation playground - built for who they are and who they’re becoming. We’re seeking a Director of Marketing Communications to define how we show up across content, press, partnerships, and community, as we introduce BatonBaton to Los Angeles and beyond.

BatonBaton is the first-ever teen social house, a new model for mental health support rooted in space, culture, and community, launching in Los Angeles, CA in Summer 2026. BatonBaton is a space teens retreat to after school to study, socialize, and recharge, a space that feels cool enough to hang in, and safe enough to open up in. Our mission is rooted in prevention. BatonBaton steps in before things get heavy, providing self-regulation tools, wellness classes, creative labs, and a community fueled by artists, creators, and voices they already follow. We envision cultivating a generation of resilient families, inclusive communities, and empowered individuals equipped to thrive in their futures.

Role Description

This role sits at the center of how BatonBaton is introduced to the world. You will lead the development and execution of our marketing communications, shaping our voice, building cultural relevance, and ensuring everything we put into the world feels considered, cohesive, and distinctly BatonBaton. This is not just about growth. It’s about taste, timing, and knowing what resonates... and why.

Scope of Work

• Translate brand and marketing strategy into clear, executable systems
• Own and evolve our 360° social strategy across founder, brand, and community channels
• Build and manage relationships with schools, aligned brands, and local community partners
• Lead press strategy and media relations alongside external PR partners

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and scaling brand presence through thoughtful, strategic communication
• Strong point of view on social—what works, what doesn’t, and why
• Exceptional writing and editorial judgment
• Experience with press and media relations
• Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
• High taste level with a strong sense of cultural relevance
• Interest in youth, culture, and preventative approaches to wellbeing

Pay: $100,000.00 per year
