Director of Marketing - Luxury Hospitality Company

Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned, energetic, visionary, hands-on, and highly technical Director of Marketing to lead our luxury hospitality brand’s marketing initiatives. This pivotal role involves someone who can both think strategically and execute at a high level, crafting and executing innovative strategies that elevate brand presence, attract discerning clientele, and drive revenue growth across all digital and traditional channels.

Your expertise in marketing, content creation, advertising sales, and analytics will be instrumental in positioning our brand at the forefront of the luxury hospitality industry. Duties

Website & Digital Infrastructure

  • Oversee design, UX, and functionality of all websites
  • Continuously improve conversion rates (booking flow, UX, mobile optimization)
  • Be capable of launching new websites from scratch for new brands or properties
  • Manage developers and designers effectively (or do light technical work themselves)
  • Ensure proper tracking, analytics, and attribution across all platforms

Performance Marketing (Highly Important)

  • Own all paid channels: Google PPC, display, retargeting, and emerging AI-driven search
  • Optimize campaigns based on ROI, not vanity metrics
  • Understand how to scale spend efficiently
  • Continuously test creatives, landing pages, and funnels

This role will be responsible for leveraging and cross-marketing across multiple brands within our portfolio, as well as any future brands we launch.

A core part of this position is utilizing our existing guest databases, email lists, and marketing channels to drive incremental revenue across all brands. This includes:
- Cross-promoting properties, experiences, and offers between brands
- Increasing repeat bookings and guest lifetime value
- Segmenting and activating guest data across multiple platforms
- Creating targeted campaigns that maximize the value of our combined audience

The ideal candidate understands how to turn multiple databases and brands into a unified marketing engine, driving efficiency, higher conversion, and stronger overall brand performance.

OTA Optimization (Critical)

  • Oversee and optimize all listings across Airbnb, VRBO, and other OTAs
  • Continuously improve ranking, visibility, and conversion on each platform
  • Manage pricing strategy in coordination with revenue management
  • A/B test titles, descriptions, thumbnails, and listing structure
  • Ensure listings are fully optimized with best-in-class content and SEO within each platform
  • Monitor performance metrics and adjust strategy accordingly

AI & Technical Capability (Non-Negotiable)

  • Strong understanding of AI tools and how to apply them across marketing
  • Use AI for content creation, ad optimization, SEO, and workflow automation
  • Stay ahead of how AI is changing search, marketing, and customer acquisition

Email Marketing (Full Overhaul)

  • Build a real email strategy from scratch
  • Create consistent campaigns (not random sends)
  • Set up flows: abandoned bookings, post-stay, re-engagement, seasonal campaigns, etc.
  • Improve design, messaging, and conversion

CRM, Data, and List Building- Oversee growth of our database through:

  • Website bookings
  • Pop-ups
  • StayFi / WiFi capture
  • Other lead capture tools
  • Segment lists properly (guests, owners, VIPs, repeat customers, etc.)
  • Use data to drive targeted campaigns

SMS Marketing

  • Build and manage SMS strategy
  • Integrate with campaigns, promotions, and guest communication

Social Media & Content- Oversee all social platforms across brands

  • Ensure content is consistent, high-end, and aligned with our brand
  • Manage content calendar and growth strategy
  • Work with internal team and/or creators

Owner / Supply Acquisition Marketing - Help drive new homeowner acquisition through:

  • Paid ads
  • Email campaigns
  • Direct mail (postcards)
  • Social campaigns

Branding & Creative Oversight - Oversee branding across:

  • Vehicles (wraps, fleet branding)
  • Merchandise
  • Property-level branding and products
  • Maintain a consistent, elevated brand aesthetic across everything

Magazine & Partnerships

  • Take over strategy for the company magazine
  • Source strategic partners and advertisers
  • Build a model where we can include paid placements or inserts for the 2027 edition
  • Turn this into both a branding and revenue opportunity

Qualifications

  • 8–15+ years experience in marketing
  • Strong technical background
  • Deep understanding of performance marketing and data
  • Proven experience with OTA platforms (Airbnb, VRBO, etc.) and listing optimization
  • Comfortable managing teams, agencies, and freelancers
  • Hands-on and not afraid to execute
  • Experience with luxury, hospitality, or lifestyle brands is a big plus
  • AI-forward mindset!
  • Needs to think like a platform operator, not a single-brand marketer

Pay: $150,000.00 per year
