Director of Marketing – Lead Generation (Multifamily)
Position Overview
Director of Marketing - Lead Generation is a strategic marketing leader with deep experience in the multifamily real estate industry. This role is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive qualified lead generation for leasing, property management, and investment opportunities. The ideal candidate is data-driven, highly creative, and experienced in blending digital marketing, SEO, content strategy, and internal marketing initiatives to elevate brand visibility and performance.
This leader will oversee demand generation campaigns, event planning, conference participation, digital storefront management, and website performance tracking, ensuring marketing efforts align with business objectives and produce measurable results.
This role will have dual reporting. First to the head of Asset Management and secondarily to the President of the Company.
Key Responsibilities
Multifamily Lead Generation & Digital Strategy
- Develop and own a comprehensive lead generation strategy focused on attracting residents.
- Implement SEO best practices, keyword strategies, and competitive analysis to increase organic search visibility across the company’s investment portfolio.
- Manage paid digital campaigns (PPC, retargeting, display ads, social media ads) to improve lead volume and conversion rates.
- Optimize the marketing funnel and implement lead-nurture journeys that increase engagement and conversion.
- Monitor campaign performance and report on KPIs such as cost per lead, conversion rates, traffic sources, and ROI.
Community Website & Overall Corporate Digital Experience Management
- Oversee website tracking and analytics to improve user experience and lead capture.
- Manage digital storefronts of all Company owned assets (Google Business Profiles, ILS platforms, property listing portals).
- Implement strategies to increase website traffic and conversions from resident engagement.
- Collaborate with web developers or external agencies to optimize site architecture, speed, and overall experience.
Companywide Branding & Internal Marketing
- Lead internal marketing efforts, ensuring consistent communication and branding across departments.
- Plan, organize, and execute company events, including internal team gatherings, client presentations, and partner engagement activities.
- Coordinate conference attendance, sponsorships, and trade show strategy to maximize lead capture and brand presence.
- Ensure alignment with cross-functional teams such as leasing, operations, asset management, and investor relations.
Content, Messaging & Communication
- Oversee the creation of high-quality content, including blogs, market insights, collateral, presentations, and investor-focused materials.
- Ensure messaging aligns with the company’s value proposition and resonates with multifamily audiences.
- Maintain brand guidelines and ensure consistency across all marketing channels and assets.
Data, Reporting & Optimization
- Use analytics tools (Google Analytics, CRM reporting, marketing automation platforms) to track performance of all initiatives.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Continuously test and refine strategies to improve traffic, engagement, and lead generation.
Investor Relations Marketing
- Drive investor-led generation to grow investor base
- Manage company promotional activities through investor engagement
Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of marketing experience in multifamily, real estate, or property management is required.
- Proven track record in SEO, lead generation, digital marketing, and marketing analytics.
- Strong understanding of multifamily leasing funnels, investor marketing, online listing platforms, and renter behavior.
- Experience planning and managing events, conferences, trade shows, and sponsorships.
- Exceptional project management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with marketing tools such as Google Analytics, CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, and SEO tools.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence senior leadership.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
