Status: Full-Time | Exempt
Schedule: Day shift with on-call responsibilities as needed

Position Summary

Wolfeboro Bay Center is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations and ensure the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care. The DON is responsible for overseeing all nursing services, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and teamwork.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight of all nursing operations and clinical services

  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations

  • Develop, implement, and monitor policies, procedures, and standards of nursing practice

  • Lead, mentor, and support nursing leadership including ADONs, nurse managers, and floor staff

  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, recruitment, and retention of nursing personnel

  • Participate in QA/QAPI initiatives, audits, and performance improvement activities

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident outcomes and satisfaction

  • Serve as a clinical and administrative liaison with physicians, families, and regulatory agencies

  • Support emergency preparedness and on-call coverage as required


Qualifications

  • Current RN license in the State of New Hampshire

  • Minimum 3–5 years of nursing leadership experience in long-term care or skilled nursing

  • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations

  • Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Experience with survey readiness, staffing management, and quality improvement

  • Commitment to compassionate, high-quality resident care
