We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing Services to lead our nursing team and ensure the delivery of exceptional resident care across our healthcare facilities. Duties
- Provide visionary leadership to nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence, safety, and compassion in all aspects of resident care.
- Oversee the development and implementation of personalized care plans for residents, ensuring they meet individual needs and comply with regulatory standards.
- Manage staffing schedules, shift assignments, and resource allocation to maintain optimal coverage and quality of care.
- Supervise the review and documentation of medical records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate smooth operations across departments such as therapy, social services, and administration.
- Monitor compliance with Medicare regulations, state licensing requirements, and industry best practices related to nursing home operations.
- Oversee the use of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation review and data management.
- Lead quality assurance initiatives by reviewing documentation, analyzing clinical outcomes, and implementing improvements based on data insights.
- Provide training and mentorship to nursing staff on topics including medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, HIPAA compliance, and shift management.
- Ensure that all staff adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards to protect residents and staff alike.
Skills
- Extensive experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home health services, hospice care, and acute care environments.
- Strong knowledge of resident’s rights policies including HIPAA regulations and medical records management.
- Proven expertise in nurse management with supervising experience in diverse healthcare settings.
- Familiarity with EMR systems and EHR systems for accurate documentation review and record-keeping.
- Deep understanding of physiology and anatomy to support clinical decision-making and resident assessments.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, manage shifts effectively, and foster professional growth among staff.
- Ability to interpret complex medical terminology while maintaining clear communication with residents’ families and healthcare providers.
- Knowledge of Medicare regulations related to long-term care reimbursement processes.
