Duties
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for clinical staff.
- Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive care plans that meet residents’ physical, emotional, and medical needs.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations such as HIPAA, Medicare requirements, and medical documentation standards.
- Supervise nursing management staff and oversee nurse management activities to maintain optimal staffing levels and shift management.
- Review medical records, documentation, and medical terminology to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems and electronic medical record (EMR) systems for efficient data management and reporting.
- Lead quality assurance initiatives by reviewing medical records, conducting documentation reviews, and implementing improvements in care delivery processes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans that incorporate physiology and anatomy knowledge while aligning with best practices in nursing administration.
- Oversee staff training programs focused on nursing supervision, medical terminology updates, HIPAA compliance, and shift management strategies.
- Act as a key liaison with regulatory agencies to ensure ongoing compliance with Medicare guidelines and other accreditation standards.
Skills
- Extensive experience in home health services environments.
- Proven management skills with supervising experience in healthcare settings; ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Strong knowledge of nursing administration principles combined with expertise in nurse management practices.
- Familiarity with EMR systems (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR systems (Electronic Health Records) for documentation review and data analysis.
- Deep understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, care plans development, and documentation standards.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security across all operations.
- Experience managing shift schedules efficiently while maintaining high-quality resident care standards.
- Ability to interpret complex medical records and ensure compliance with Medicare policies.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent communication skills; capable of motivating teams towards shared goals. Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
