The Dinex Group by Daniel Boulud owns/operates a collection of restaurants and hospitality venues across the globe. We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to serve as the Director of Operations. This executive role is responsible for overseeing the company's daily operations, driving business growth, and ensuring operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, a proven track record in strategic planning, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams. The Director oversees the day-to-day operation of multiple concepts within the project, including the supervision of general manager, financial direction, business acumen and guests' experience satisfaction. From the critical path to daily management briefings, the Director's awareness in high level management with multiple partnership collaboration is a must. Leadership must demonstrate the ability to aspire a team of mid/senior level managers to provide world-class service & hospitality.

Duties
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company goals to enhance efficiency and productivity.
 - Co-drive critical path from pre-construction phase until grand opening
 - Lead, motivate, and manage senior leadership teams across various departments to ensure cohesive execution of company initiatives aligned with each venue's inspiration
 - Oversee business development activities, including identifying new market opportunities and fostering strategic partnerships to sustain conceptual direction and financial targets
 - Manage large-scale projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
 - Drive process improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing workflows, reducing costs, and increasing quality standards
 - Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors, partners, and clients to secure favorable terms
 - Coach and Mentor direct reports, including the General Managers and Director of Sales in restaurant/event management
 - Establish performance metrics and monitor operational performance to ensure continuous improvement based on seasonality and hospitality market trends
 - Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies across all operational areas
 - Foster a culture of leadership, accountability, and innovation throughout the organization
 - Collaborate with Corporate Chefs and BOH teams to maintain the highest standards of service
 
General Leadership Qualities
- Able to drive daily management briefings
 - Receive, understand, collaborate and execute strategic initiatives provided the executive team
 - Fluent awareness of NY labor regulation and HR policies
 - Build, manage and lead a team of talented hospitality professionals, including hourly team members
 - Sustain and develop relationship with clientele
 - Provide bi-weekly P&L narrative and control
 - Facility management, including vendor relationship and accountability
 - Create efficient management schedule to create work-life balance
 - Flex COGS in all aspects of operation including beverage, labor and other operational expenses
 - Conduct weekly management meetings
 - Present corporate presentations for CapEx and financial related topics
 - Possess NYC Health Department requirement knowledge
 - Enforce coaching and disciplinary processes while maintaining proper documentation
 
Requirements
- Director level+ F&B management experience (restaurant group experience is a must)
 - Advanced emotional intelligence awareness
 - Adobe, Microsoft, Resy, UpServe, TripleSeat, and other operations related application knowledge
 - Budgeting and FP&A skills set
 - Ability to multi-task with maximum efficiency
 - Advanced food and beverage knowledge
 - Ability to mentor leadership level team members
 
Qualification
- Minimum of 3 years in a director position of food & beverage industry (consulting not included)
 - Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Hospitality
 - Fluent in English in written and verbal
 - 2nd language preferred but not required
 - Forbes Service Standards training required
 - Continuous Improvement Training (Six Sigma) preferred
 - Michelin Restaurant experience required
 
Compensation Package: Annual Salary and Quarterly IBP, Benefits (Health, Dental, Vision, Commuter, and 401K/Roth)
