Position Summary:
The Director of Operations will lead and integrate the operational activities of Shock Therapy, Upfit UTV, and Geiser—three complementary businesses serving the performance enthusiast and UTV markets. This strategic role oversees manufacturing, service operations, and product fulfillment, ensuring scalable systems and processes that drive growth, efficiency, and quality across a $30M+ portfolio positioned for significant expansion.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on operations leader with a strong background in manufacturing, process improvement, and team development, who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Position Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day operations across three business units, aligning manufacturing, service, and upfitting processes under a unified operational vision.

Partner with executive and senior leadership to develop and execute strategic plans supporting growth, scalability, and profitability.

Build operational frameworks and KPIs to standardize excellence across all facilities and functions.

Optimize production, assembly, and service workflows to ensure quality, throughput, and cost targets are achieved.

Lead capacity planning, scheduling, and resource allocation across product lines and locations.

Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with corporate objectives and growth plans

Champion Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Oversee supply chain, procurement, and inventory management to ensure consistent material flow and minimize downtime.

Develop strategic vendor relationships to improve reliability, quality, and cost performance.

Implement data-driven systems for demand forecasting, purchasing, and logistics.

Implement best-in-class inventory management practices to optimize working capital

Establish forecasting and planning processes to support business growth while minimizing excess inventory

Maintain and enhance quality control systems to ensure product and service excellence across all operations.

Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all OSHA and industry regulations.

Drive continuous improvement in quality assurance processes and customer satisfaction metrics.

Lead and mentor plant managers, production supervisors, and operations staff across all three business units.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.

Attract, develop, and retain top operational talent to support long-term organizational growth.

Develop and manage operational budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditure plans.

Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive data-informed decisions.

Serve as a strategic partner to the on-site finance team

Own operational P&L performance and accountability

Identify opportunities for cost reduction, margin improvement, and process optimization.

Partner closely with sales, engineering, and product development teams

Collaborate with Fox Factory corporate teams on strategic initiatives

Represent operations in executive-level strategic planning discussions

Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:

Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and unify teams across business units.

Deep operational knowledge spanning manufacturing, service, and assembly processes.

Financial acumen and experience managing P&L responsibility.

Proficient in ERP/MRP systems, operational analytics, and production management tools.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Position Qualifications:
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
-
10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, ideally in manufacturing, distribution, or service operations.

Background in automotive, powersports, or high-performance vehicle industries strongly preferred.

Demonstrated success scaling multi-site or multi-division operations.
-
Proven experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement practices.

Upfit UTV: Specialized side-by-side upfitting operation customizing vehicles for diverse applications including recreation, utility, and specialized use cases.
