Job Overview
We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Director of Operations for Behavioral Health to lead and optimize our behavioral health services. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of mental health care delivery, demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, and have a passion for improving patient outcomes. As the Director of Operations, you will oversee clinical programs, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and foster a collaborative environment that promotes high-quality care. Your role will be pivotal in aligning operational practices with organizational goals to enhance service efficiency and patient satisfaction.
Duties
- Develop and implement operational strategies that support the delivery of comprehensive behavioral health services.
- Oversee daily clinical operations, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams, including clinicians, therapists, and administrative staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with clinical leadership to develop training programs in specialized areas such as art therapy, psychopharmacology, and gender issues counseling.
- Monitor key performance indicators to evaluate service quality, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency.
- Manage resource allocation, including staffing, facilities, and technology, to optimize service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing behavioral health practices.
- Promote a patient-centered approach that emphasizes dignity, respect, and individualized care.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing behavioral health or mental health services at an executive level.
- Strong knowledge of clinical practices including art therapy techniques and psychopharmacology principles.
- Familiarity with gender issues counseling and culturally competent care delivery.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams toward shared goals.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced healthcare environments.
- Effective communication skills for engaging with staff, patients, regulatory agencies, and community partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, psychology, social work or related field; advanced degree preferred.
