Director of Partial Hospitalization

Position Summary

Envision Health Inc. is seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to serve as the Director of Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). The Director will oversee the development, implementation, and daily operations of the Partial Hospitalization Program while ensuring high-quality, client-centered behavioral health services.

This leadership position is responsible for clinical oversight, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, program development, and ensuring effective treatment services for individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges.

The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader with experience in behavioral health program management and multidisciplinary team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and administrative leadership for the Partial Hospitalization Program.
  • Ensure the program operates in compliance with Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and support clinical staff including therapists, case managers, and support personnel.
  • Oversee treatment planning, clinical documentation, and program outcomes.
  • Maintain high standards of quality assurance and program performance.
  • Collaborate with internal programs including Outpatient Therapy, Intensive Outpatient Programs, MAT, ACT, and Mental Health Skill Building.
  • Manage scheduling, staffing, and program workflow.
  • Provide direct clinical services when needed, including assessments, therapy, and crisis intervention.
  • Participate in program development, community partnerships, and referral relationships.
  • Monitor client progress and ensure evidence-based treatment practices are utilized.
  • Assist with audits, licensing requirements, and program reporting.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the Commonwealth of Virginia – REQUIRED
  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related behavioral health field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience in behavioral health.
  • Experience in program management, supervision, or leadership preferred.
  • Knowledge of PHP, IOP, or intensive behavioral health treatment services strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of DBHDS regulations and documentation standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Prior experience in Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient Programs, or crisis stabilization services.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary clinical teams.
