We are partnering with an innovative SaaS company in the eCommerce ecosystem that is looking to hire a Director of Partnerships to lead and scale a strategic partnerships function. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on building a repeatable partner engine that drives qualified leads, expands product adoption, and strengthens the company’s presence across the eCommerce ecosystem.
The Director of Partnerships will focus heavily on building relationships with accounting and bookkeeping firms that support eCommerce brands, while also developing strategic alliances with agencies, consultants, aggregators, and SaaS platforms. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution and is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-growing environments and enjoys building programs from the ground up.
What You’ll Do
Partnership Strategy
- Develop and execute the company’s partnerships strategy to drive growth and customer acquisition
- Identify high-impact partners across the eCommerce ecosystem including accounting firms, agencies, consultants, aggregators, and SaaS platforms
- Design scalable partner programs that generate consistent pipeline and product adoption
Accounting and Bookkeeping Partnerships
- Build relationships with accounting firms and bookkeeping practices serving eCommerce brands
- Position the platform as a trusted financial operations solution for their clients
- Establish referral and reseller partnerships that generate new customer opportunities
Business Development
- Source, negotiate, and onboard strategic partners
- Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders across partner organizations
- Identify co-selling opportunities and revenue-generating initiatives with partners
Partner Enablement
- Develop partner onboarding frameworks, resources, and education materials
- Work with marketing on partner campaigns, webinars, and ecosystem events
- Track partner performance and optimize engagement to maximize results
Ecosystem Growth
- Expand the company’s presence across the Amazon, Shopify, and eCommerce operator ecosystem
- Build relationships with consultants and service providers supporting eCommerce brands
- Identify opportunities for integrations and technology partnerships
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with sales to convert partner introductions into successful customers
- Collaborate with marketing on joint campaigns and go-to-market initiatives
- Partner with product teams to explore integrations with complementary SaaS platforms
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or ecosystem growth
- Proven experience working within SaaS, eCommerce, accounting technology, or fintech ecosystems
- Experience building or scaling partnership programs from the ground up
- Demonstrated success working with accounting firms, bookkeepers, agencies, or consultants
- Strong understanding of the Amazon and Shopify operator ecosystem
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills
- Comfortable operating in a startup environment with both strategic and hands-on responsibilities
Bonus Experience
- Experience selling SaaS products to accounting firms or bookkeeping networks
- Existing relationships within the eCommerce accounting or operator ecosystem
- Experience building integration or technology partnerships with SaaS platforms
