POSITION SUMMARY:

This role serves as a trusted advisor to the People Resources leadership, organization leaders, and employees, fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring alignment with best practices and legal requirements.

The Director of People Resources is a transformational leader responsible for designing and executing scalable HR processes that enhance the employee experience. This role is focused on process improvement, optimizing operational efficiency, and implementing best practices to support organizational growth. As a strategic partner, the Human Resources Director will collaborate with cross-department and functional leaders to deliver impactful people solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the Field HR team (People Relations and People Support) departments, focusing on scalable processes that enhance employee engagement.
  • Champion a seamless employee experience by overseeing the entire employee lifecycle, from welcoming new hires to thoughtful offboarding, while ensuring data integrity, compliance and a high level of support throughout each stage.
  • Build and lead a best-in-class Field HR team by leveraging innovative HR technology and systems to optimize processes while driving customer services through high-touch, approachability and accessibility to employees at all levels.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of a scalable job architecture that not only ensures consistency and compliance but also drives employee engagement through transparent career progression and clear growth opportunities.
  • Collaborates with Territory Business Leadership to develop and implement change management and organizational design initiatives.
  • Provide expertise in planning and executing large-scale organizational changes and interventions.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by aligning change strategies with business objectives.
  • Oversee the management and optimization of the HRIS (Nitro), identifying opportunities to enhance system functionality, streamline HR processes, and improve employee experience.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics that measure the effectiveness of HR programs, ensuring alignment with the company’s breakthrough objectives to drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Collaborates with internal Employment Law department and facilitate compliance with employment laws and regulations, including policy updates and training programs.
  • Manage compliance reporting and ensure adherence to legal standards related to workforce management.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on compliance issues and risk mitigation.
  • Regular and reliable attendance on a full-time basis.
  • Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERTISE:

  • 7+ years of progressive Business & HR related experience with demonstrated ability to lead the development and execution of an organizational agenda
  • Deep understanding of HR best practices, policies, and compliance regulations.
  • Familiarity with employment laws and regulations (local, state, and federal).
  • Proven history with HRIS platform scalability and other HR technology solutions.
  • Ability to leverage data analytics and reporting tools to inform strategic decisions.
  • Proven ability to build, mentor, and lead a high-performing HR field team.
  • Strong project management skills to drive initiatives and process improvements.
  • Experience fostering a high-touch, employee-centered HR service culture.
  • Skills in developing and monitoring KPIs to measure the effectiveness of HR programs.
  • Competence in creating dashboards and reports to track operational performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Ability to develop scalable HR processes that adapt to organizational growth.
  • Strong business acumen and how HR strategies can support organizational goals.
  • Ability to align HR practices with company objectives, fostering a results-oriented culture.
  • Skills in balancing strategic planning with day-to-day operational management.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP highly preferred.
